Islam, while recognizing that Jesus Christ is in fact real, denies His Deity and therefore is unbelief, by Biblical definition and qualifies as antichrist / spirit of antichrist.

(that was for the thread)

Therefore, as a pre-tribber, I expect the Church to be removed just prior to the 70th week of Daniel beginning, but the adherents of Islam remaining with many (including church goers that don’t actually believe the Scriptures) left behind and many will follow the anti-messiah Antichrist Man of Sin.

Many of them will become persecutors of the Tribulation Saints (except perhaps a few of them that finally believe).

In fact, I expect Satan’s False Prophet to essentially “unite” all of the world’s “religions” into a One-World Religion that worships the “instead-of messiah” Antichrist.

When the Abomination the Causes Desolation is set up in Jerusalem, and the Mark of the Beast is deployed, I expect there to be some rebellion and those will become Tribulation Saint martyrs (by refusing the Mark of the Beast).

I expect strict adherents of Islam to be among the Beast’s foot-soldiers.

[(Meat, Spices ... are evil)]

Aw dang. And I went to Taco Bell drive-thru last night. (really) - using my Christmas gift card.

If it helps, I only ate the Doritos Taco, the Chalupa Supreme and the chips and cheese.

I haven’t touched the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito
yet as I put it in the refrigerator.

I did get a big drink though - Pepsi - though I was gonna get Dr. Pepper

uh oh ...... meat and spices ......

I don’t think so. We read in Daniel chapter 1 how he refused the king’s rich food and wine and challenged them. Scripture says he came out smarter, wiser, and even better looking!

Its amazing what God’s original diet can do for us. The Edenic Diet. Can I suggest you read Daniel 1?

Then, if you, want, you can read this from National Geographic that identified Seventh day Adventists as living longer healthier lives than the general population. Diet, and the Sabbath rest each week does wonders for us.

Dr. Lorraine Day is a Seventh day Adventist Trauma surgeon who got cancer. She was told she would die. But she went back to God’s original diet and it rebuilt her immune system so that the cancer disappeared. Amazing if we trust and believe God . When it comes to diet...you just can’t improve on God.

I don’t think she said meat is evil unless you have reliable sources for this. She did say that meat would be unfit in the last days and here we are with commercial meat producers using mRna vaccines and genetics modifying meat products. If you have a local farm source of meat, then I would much prefer that over hormone laden and vaxxed sources. Although she did say meat (flesh) was not part of the original (Edenic) diet. And observed after the Flood when meat became part of our diet the longevity of humans decreased markedly.

You very well could be 100% correct. I don’t have strong beliefs — except to know your Bible and to expect the unexpected.

My go to example of this were the Pharisees (sp?) of Jesus’s day.

These were guys who lived and breathed scripture. They were devout and (generally) good intentioned. Smart. And literally there.

Many just flat missed Jesus as Messiah — because they had some very preconceived ideas of how the Messiah would come and what would happen. The idea of a “two part” arrival was not on their radar — they were looking for the lion laying down with the lamb, a conquering Messiah, the changing of the world order and really nature itself.

When that didn’t happen, they missed the boat.

So, my main belief is these guys were smarter than me, more devout, spoke and wrote Hebrew, but were wed to a (very reasonable) interpretation of scripture and prophecy that was wrong.

So my one bit of advice is to know scripture and prepare to be surprised when it doesn’t work out like a “Left Behind” book (or Seventh Day book or whatever).

The Pharisees, at least the leadership, were not actually believers. They were blind guides.

LB is likely imperfect (duh) but in general is about where I am on the 70th week (though the Two Witnesses were not shown in proper context).

I only read the first 3 books and that was enough for me.

BUT “the world at war” seems rather descriptive of today (Middle East being the big one there)

My views on the 70th week were established long before the book and movies came out (FWIW).

Expect the “peace deal” to come - and for it to specifically be for 7 years - 2,520 days, actually. (7 x 360 Jewish years). Daniel 9:26-27 if I’m not too sleepy (and I am lol)

When you hear that “peace has come to the Middle East!” be worried - VERY worried - because it’s about to get real interesting

God bless

“ The Pharisees, at least the leadership, were not actually believers”

Like Paul?

Yours is a very Roman interpretation. There were a ton of devout Pharisees; including plenty who became leaders of the early church.

They’re just not the antagonists in the stories, so they don’t get top billing.

Very unfair to lump them all together.

SDA church was started to salvage the failed Millerite movement and their predictions of the return of Christ in 1843 and 1844.

Jesus’ harshest words were often to the Pharisees

Though Nicodemus was an exception (and there may have been a few more with him)

Paul was not actually a believer until the Damascus Road event

I mean, there is currently sitting on the threshing floor on the Temple Mount a Islamic monstrosity (paid for and repaired by no less than Hitler and Mussolini, replete with the finest Italian marble) that literally says around its top “God has no son” in Arabic.

???

It’s an Islamic quote from the Koran:

“Allah has no son” - a direct denial of the Deity of Jesus Christ (in code)

Yes, reportedly it’s written on part of the structure (perhaps in the mason work etc.)

As are probably several other verses from the Koran - as one would expect in a mosque like the Dome on the Rock

>>SDA church was started to salvage the failed Millerite movement and their predictions of the return of Christ in 1843 and 1844.>>>

Yes, William Miller was a baptist preacher with an oustanding character and reputation. An honest and good man looking for his savior. He got the Daniel 8:14 prophecy right but the event wrong. He never even accepted the Sabbath and the Adventist church was formed out this movement some 20 years later. By people, PROTESTANTS who went back to study the prophey of Daniel 8:14.

The result was the Seventh day Adventist church, Protestants who now believe Daniel 8:14 does not refer to the 2nd coming of Christ....but the beginning of the judgement of the righteous. Judgement begins with the house of the Lord and the dates all seem to add up. We are in the judgement hour now. The most holy place in heaven with Christ our high priest ......and soon the judgement will be complete.....in Revelation 16 we read.....IT IS DONE! and then an angel flys out of the heavenly temple. The heavenly Sanctuary where as on earth, the judgement took place on the day of atonement.

I believe William Miller will be in heaven. A good man of God with a stellar honest reputation. Thank you

I once heard John Hagee say (whom I've seen in person 3 times over the years) but it may have been in a video - that it's written up high - perhaps in the marble as described - to be plainly seen

now THIS claims it's in error - I haven't been there - would love to go but couldn't afford it anyways and what with all that's going on....

Such a verse IS in the Koran - but I couldn't read Arabic to order French Fries

There are at least a couple of verses in the Koran that claim "allah has no son" (in context)

Note that it’s pointing to TWO DIFFERENT areas on the structure though

False. Islam acknowledges Christ is a prophet of God.
