Mexican in Mexico is not exactly high quality either.
I don’t like Mexican food anywhere. Too salty, too starchy, blech.
I also hate Pizza and chocolate.
I had great food in Greece, but that was many years ago. No decent Greek food here. Good Chinese is hard to find. , though good in San Fran Chinatown. Don’t live there any more. We have an excellent little Thai restaurant nearby, and that’s my favorite place to go.
I spent a week in Mexico with a wealthy business family. We ate at dozens of the best restaurants in Leon, Guanajuato, and other Bahia cities. The meal we had at the family home was great but food out was plagued by poor prep, poor service and improper presentation.
