Pretty and popular, Aubrey Vanlandingham had the world at her feet as she progressed through high school in a well-to-do suburb of Austin, Texas.
Not only was she a cheerleader, but she had also just been made president of the school's Future Farmers of America.
And she was particularly proud of her pet goat, Lacey, which she paraded in animal shows across the state for cash prizes and certificates.
The 17-year-old posted her beloved pet on her social media, with now-deleted posts seen by DailyMail.com detailing her excitement to head up Vista Ridge High School's FFA in Cedar Park, in her senior year.
But, prosecutors claim, her desire to win got too much for the teen, and she turned to evil ways to ensure victory – by poisoning a fellow student's goat.
Vanlandingham is facing the prospect of up to two years in prison if convicted of poisoning six-month-old Willy twice over a three-day period, eventually killing him.
The brazen teenager showed no remorse when authorities launched a probe, allegedly telling cops: 'I don't like cheaters' when questioned.

I’ve only heard part of this story over the last month. It’s weirder and worse than I thought.
For sure, the killer of the goat is responsible for damages to the owner. Time in a correctional facility for deliberately killing the animal, too. JM.02

This piece of pure evil really gets to me. Several years ago I had my yard landscaped, a process that included putting down a net to keep the newly planted grass in place. A couple of snakes got caught in that net and I took my Swiss Army knife, carefully cut each one out, and released it. I’m proud of that to this day. That anyone would do such a pure evil thing to an innocent goat, or dog, is horrific. She deserves the maximum penalty. I never waned to see “Old Yeller” again because of his terrible end. I’ve also had to take two of my dogs on their last trip to the vet, something I nevr want to have to do again.
If we want to make America great again, let’s start by making America Godly again.

Why is the author stroking the killer’s ego? I wouldn’t otherwise tear into someone’s physical appearance, but she has fat arms for a 17-year-old, a Miss Piggy face, the hairline of an over-stressed 50-year-old, and OTHERWISE looks as plain as Chinese knock-off M&Ms. Neither completely ugly nor obese, but definitely way below average in the looks department for a healthy teenager.
I’m confused. Is the goat the best goat ever or the goat that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory?
Sick and vindictive. She is one disturbed young woman who honestly probably isn’t totally redeemable. Sounds like she’s been raised as ‘princess’ who sees anything she does as being justifies as long as it advances her own personal aggrandizement. Obviously, no empathy. Intentionally murdering an animal just because you don’t like the owner and don’t want any competition is just cold and heartless. To video the goat suffering a slow painful death and sending it to someone is, as I said above just sick. I’m guessing her mom doesn’t see anything wrong with what she did, and the girl is expecting nothing will happen to her because she’s cute and popular.

I tolerate all snakes on the property except copperheads. Those I kill. Grandchildren and pets come first.

...and this is why it makes sense to check out the background of anyone you get serious with. Some guy in the decades to come is going to date this girl - the fact that she’s a goat-poisoner might be of interest.
An award-winning Carrie Underwood video comes to mind. This is what young women are taught by society. If you’re pissed just commit at least three felonies to prove your point.

Texas rivalries can get deadly. Coincidentally, there a new documentary about the famous Texas Cheerleader murder case. It’s pretty good. After hearing the tape recordings, I believe Wanda. She was goaded into the scheme by her brother-in-law Terry.
