more often than not, an unwanted sequel comes out, and it is rarely as good as the original. Although, in a few are better than the original (Wrath of Khan, Terminator 2). Can't think of a prequel better than the original currently.
In any case, which movies would you like to see with a prequel or a sequel?
“The Dark Knight” was better than “Batman Begins” which was kind of a prequel. Or more like a reboot.
weekend at biden’s has been a four year nightmare at 1600 pennsylvania avenue...
Possible.
Ha
Thank you. There are so many possibilities as long as they keep fights to a minimum. I'm so tired of John Wick and all the unrealistic fights that mostly appeal to the teen boy crowd like the Super Hero movies.
They bore me now, except for Deadpool which was funny and clever. It was basically a black satire on Super Heroes. Ryan Reynolds made it work. Deadpool & Wolverine sucked.
Although I will say the the recent reboot of Superman "Man of Steel" was informative and entertaining, but the fight between Superman and Zod was too long. I understand another Superman movie is in the works, but without Henry Cavill who is the best of them all.
BTW, Joker and the stupid Joker2 (musical) both sucked. The first one with Joaquin Phoenix was slow and couldn't compare to Keith Ledger's twisted Joker in "The Dark Knight" , and the second was just silly.
Yes, "The Dark Knight" with Heath Ledger's twisted "Joker" pretty much stole the movie. I did like "Batman Begins" because it shows Bruce Wayne's training with the Monks and how he came to have such skills. Plus, I like Christian Bale's interpretation of the Bat Man.
1.) Aliens: âWeâre all gonna die!â
2.) Alien: Very Hitchcockian!
3.) Aliens 3: That was bad. Never watched any of them past this one.
Aliens is a different genre of movie than either Alien or Alien3. It's very difficult to compare them.
However, I think I like the first and third better than the second one, only because of the mood/type of movie those are.
It did prompt me to make this graphic...
Every horror film directed by James Whale is a masterpiece. I love The Old Dark House as well. Ernest Thesiger is both hilarious and creepy as Horace Femm.
Good to know.
Yes, best book series ever.
There was a time where I anticipated the sequel... but not so for many years. I agree with your snap reaction.
Hollywood has proven there’s no formula for quality content which essentially makes the sequel an impossibility. The exceptions are few.
