Salvation Army Angel Tree Drama: These People Are Not Grateful In today’s video we’ll be discussing how some parents are not grateful for the gift given to their kids for Christmas by Salvation Army Angel tree

FReepers youtube and tic tok is blowing up over this. Some who received items from the Salvation Army's Angel Tree were quite ungrateful and posted about it. They have since deleted their video over bad comments but everyone saved them. People are upset, as they should be over this. Now not all were going on tic tok and saying their "Christmas was ruined" but enough has done this to have hundreds of videos made.

Apropos of which - there was a panhandler at 14th street and the Downtown Connector, who had a sign: WHY LIE? I NEED A BEER!

I gave him a fiver for his honesty and told him so.

“A lot of these welfare queens want their kids to get stuff which can be returned for cash.”

I’ve watched at least 20 of these videos before posting this one and yes that has come up. One woman who donated said she blotted out the bar code and the person she donated to went on tic tok and was upset about that. It was said in the video these women do return it for cash and not to pay bills but we know why they are doing it.

Another woman said she saw the stuff she donated being sold on Facebook marketplace.

People are already saying that next year they are only doing Angel Tree for the Senior Citizens. Yes they do that for them too. They say the Seniors never complain about what they get.

"I stopped donating to Salvation Army when they went lib. Now I only donate to animal charities. The pups will appreciate any toy they’re given."

This Christmas, the Wife and I decided not to buy each other gifts, but give to our favorite charities.

I gave to the Gary Sinise Foundation for wounded warriors, and to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I contribute to the ASPCA occasionally during the year when I see their heart-tugging promos on TV.

My Wife gave all to a local animal rescue that has a great reputation and we've rescued 2 wonderful little doggies through the years. I believe they are called "Adopt a Pet".

This Christmas was the most rewarding we've experienced in some time.

I never thought about Legos thanks. I like train sets but then again I’m a rail fan. Yes I hate video games too.

DeForest Kelley attended NYC Creation Cons and had people donate to a series of no-kill animal shelters. Knew there was a reason I adored that guy. Told a great story of his canary escaping and people helping his stop traffic in all directions while searching for it on a city street under cars.

I can find it in my heart to give to both the animals and the homeless.

Wounded Warriors is a great charity. If I had extra monies, that’s a place I’d definitely look at. Our vets deserve so much more than they’ve gotten back for their sacrifices. All respect to every person who has ever worn the uniform.

I stopped donating to Salvation Army when they went lib.

I quit donations to Salvation Army several years ago when they made it a point to tell everyone about their LGBT+ outreach.

We stopped Salvation Army when the top dog there sent the letter saying the white folk need to apologize for their whiteness. I used to ring bells, too.

All of that stopped.

We donate to animal rescue organizations as well. Charity Navigator website is good to determine if the money is well spent.

We also give to Samaritan’s Purse.

Hard to be wasteful when you take bags of food to the animal shelter.

As for the wish tree, just all too bad. Nice little children who would be more than happy with something much less and more reasonable than high end electronics get the short end of the stick. Next they will be wanting a motorbike, go cart, a car or something like that.

For a few years I gave generously to Toys for Tots. I am unhappy to say that what ruined it for me was to see people drive up in newer cars than we drive and just do their Christmas Shopping at the charity. It was obvious what they were doing and the Vets just had to stand there and take it. They complained after the people left but were powerless to stop it.

Maybe if the well dries up some will find the worth of the water. My give-a-damn is pretty much just plain busted these days. I suppose I am "Lucky" to have paid all the taxes I have over the years. Taxes that have been so well pissed away. "Lucky" to have spent so many years at Christmas on a rig in some far flung place. "Lucky" to catch a few winks so many many times on the steel bench of a cold or sweltering and noisy dog house and "Lucky" to have managed to work my way through a good education and on to opportunity I worked hard not to waste. Until I retired I never turned down work I could do not knowing when it would be offered again. That served us well. I don't feel any obligation to anyone else 'cept for a few friends who offered me work when I needed it in the bad times. I owe them my loyalty and that is all. Nobody has given me a thing since my parents gave me a good reputation and all they had to offer that I really needed.

I not only quite giving I would tell the bell ringers that I don’t donate to people that hate me. There certainly are very few bell ringers these days. I didn’t see one in Phoenix this year.

It’s a shame when the ungrateful make it harder for a charity to get gifts for the grateful.

My son is 30 and still gets a Lego set every Christmas. He started on Legos when he was five. Two years ago he got the 6000+ piece the Titanic and finished it in three days. For three days he was not playing computer games!

I LOVED THE BELLRINGERS! YOU GUYS WERE THE GREATEST!

You went out in sometimes dreadfully cold weather and you were always smiling and just made the Christmas season. Christmas in Chicago was about you guys, store windows and music everywhere. Hope you had trouble lifting your kettle at the end of the day.

Just blows my mind that SA doesn’t understand that all that early work on segregation was to bring people together, not to drive people apart.

My dad was a serious train collector. I still have his N and Z gauge stuff and fragments of the G collection. Kids arent interested in it, maybe when, er if I get to retire Ill indulge, but hobby shop trips show me that its now cost prohibitive to be in a league like my dad was.

"Wounded Warriors is a great charity."

I'm sorry for any confusion. The Gary Sinise Foundation does much more and is not affiliated with the "Wounded Warriors" charity. I used to give to the "Wounded Warriors" until the expose about their top executives getting 6 figure salaries. I believe they have fixed that since.

With a lot of animal shelters these days you can “sponsor an animal” which means when you donate you say say you want to sponsor a pet and that goes toward the pets adoption fee.

Some pets have a $0.00 adoption fee when people go to adopt them. People do this a lot with older animals so they get adopted faster.

Ask your local shelter about doing that.
