When it comes to Gallup's "Most Admired Man list," Jimmy Carter is number three in the top 10 finishes, behind only Rev. Billy Graham and Ronald Reagan.

From 1946 to 2020, Carter made the list 29 times, according to Gallup.

Carter, the nation's 39th president, died Sunday, Dec. 29, at the age of 100. He served a single term as president, and will also be remembered for his decades of humanitarian work.

"When Gallup asked Americans to retrospectively evaluate Carter's presidency in June 2023, 57% said they approved of the job he did, and 36% disapproved," a Gallup blog reads. "His retrospective approval ranks in the bottom half of presidents, better than Nixon and Trump, but similar to George W. Bush and Bill Clinton."

His character was such as his SS details said that he used to carry empty suit cases onto Air Force One for picture ops. The SS loaded the real ones.

Those who approve of his presidency obviously didn’t live through it. He only lived so long as to avoid eternal damnation.

Yeah—exactly I commented that same point on Reddit.

It was obvious the youngsters singing his praises had never waited in a gas line.

I remember looking for work when Carter was President. If you found a job for 5 bucks and hour you kept that job. A buddy of mine found a part time job as a fork lift driver for 8 bucks and hour! We were all jealous. That was good money. Interest rates for mortgages went up to about 18%. (If I remember correctly.) No houses were being built. This had a domino effect in the economy. Carter was a frickin' disaster! Then there is the Iran hostage situation......The only good thing about Carter was that I registered to vote and voted for Reagan.

Jimmah Cahtah is darn near the bottom of my “most admired man” list, in the same category as his buddies Ruhollah Khomeini and Robert Mugabe.

At this point you have to be well into your fifties to have any true firsthand recollection of him. The generations who came after Gen X really have no clue of just how much things sucked at the time.

Not for one who lived thru his term,โ€ฆhe was the absolute worst until Nobama came along, then the absolute worst was senile Joeโ€ฆ..

My ranking as the Worst:
1) Senile Joe
2) Nobama
3) Carter
4) Johnson
โ€ฆ.all Democrats off course

Agree with your list with one addition—Wilson:

—World War I slaughterhouse
—Federal Reserve
—Income tax

That was a lot of damage for one President.
