She should get whatever punishment he was going to.
To: conservative98
Yes. Bearing false witness should carry the same punishment as the underlying crime.

Good push back...a lot of men are sexually aggressive toward woman....now being interpreted as “rape”...I think that nowadays even looking at a woman with a suggestive look could be interpreted as “rape”..especially if the man is rich and famous...new cottage industry....time for punishment for false accusations...difficult to prove innocence given the track record of so many men...
Bring back chaperoned dating....

Yes. And her assets should be liquidated and the proceeds given to the man.

Proven false, yes. But innocent because not proven guilty is something else.

There needs to be a statute of limitations, where the victim needs to make a police report within a short time afterwards.

Falsely filing a police report is a crime, so yeah, bring on the punishment.

Yes. Same for fake hate crimes.

She should get the same penalty that the falsely accused man would have gotten, plus loss of job and reputation.

Of course, a woman who does this should pay serious penalties.
Where do the wrongly accused go to get their reputations and careers back?
That bitch who wrongly accused the lacrosse team of rape deserves prison. Oh wait... She’s already IN prison. For MURDER.

Had a local girl in the pickup bed with two out of town fishermen. The truck was under a Mulberry tree, and so her back was fully stained, which she didn’t know. But her boyfriend noticed. She cried rape. The local constable asked around at the campgrounds if two men from Ohio were fishing here. Yep, two good looking young guys. Darn right, they said, they screwed her. She admitted her lie, was arrested and went to jail.

Through much of the Middle east three thousand years ago if one accused another of a crime and was judged to have been lying the accuser then faced the same punishment that would have been meted out to the accused.
