Come on people. It's a joke. That Pierre fella in BC is the noteworthy one. Gretzky running would be like Arnold in Calif. All flash no (proven)substance. Trump is getting carried away with himself.

Wayne lives in lala land. Tough to be PM of Canada if that is where you live. Yeah he could relocate but not sure if Janet wants that.

I would imagine Gretzky is universally loved in Canada by all Canadians, if he ran for Prime Minister, he would immediately lose about half the country that would turn on him.

Even if he could win, he may not want to put himself and family thru the meat grinder that is politics.

Wasn’t too helpful for Trump to bring Gretzky into this when P.P. has been effectively battling Trudeau for 2 years.

You can’t run for PM. You can’t even vote for the PM, unless he’s your local MP.

Chris Pronger would be more suited to being a top politician in Canada.

Who is this ‘Pierre fella in BC’?

If you are talking about Conservative leader Pierre Polievre, he represents the riding of ‘Carleton’, basically the rural portion of the City of Ottawa.

Polievre was born in Calgary, AB, to a single, teenaged mother, and adopted as a baby, by the Polievre family. He grew up in Calgary, getting involved with conservative politics st an early age.

He moved to d’Ottawa in the early 2000s and was elected MP for the riding of ‘Nepean-Carleton’. In 2012, this riding was dissolved through redistribution and PP ran in, and won, the ‘Carleton’ riding. He remains the MP for this riding and likely, Canaduh’s next Prime Minister.

Come on people. It's a joke.

I'm not so sure about that. There's a reason he keeps bringing it up. At the very least perhaps it's a way to cause dissent against the left in Canada?
