Growing indications that the Azerbaijan Airlines flight that crashed this morning might have been brought down by some kind of AD fire
A Ukrainian drone attack on Grozny was ongoing
Certainly indicative of a proximity fragmentation warhead.
“But the partisans assign you to the opposing group if you don’t toe their line precisely.”
Which is exactly why I mock both sides.

Now you’re talking!
I agree with your assessment. Definitely another example of “friendly fire” in a combat area and not an accidental crash. The same thing recently happened with an American navy aircraft (and almost another one and the same incident) in the vicinity of Yemen.
Props to the pilots for doing the best they could with the heavily damaged passenger plane.
Too bad we weren't. The world would look a whole lot different right now.
Look at the videos, most of it is. The only survivors were in the tail section that broke off on impact.
Figured as much.
That's a really dumb idea. It rests on the assumption that Putin's actions are controlled by what the US State Department or what Joe Biden says. Does that make any sense?
Russia has not taken any action when other neighboring nations have actually joined NATO, including for example Finland and Turkey.
Putin started the war by seizing Ukrainian land and invading Ukraine.
Look at the proximity and strategic locations of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Finland relative to Russia.
They all create more of a "risk" than Ukraine.
Putin is trying to recreate the Soviet empire. His own advisors have said so repeatedly.
Reminds one of UA Flight 232 nearly making the Sioux City landing and then rolling at last approach, although they had no flaps down.
Good observational details.
Merry Christmas, FRiend.
Since 1979... or had you forgotten?
They had no flaps down because they had no hydraulics. They steered the plane back to the runway using engine thrust alone. It was a miracle anybody survived.

Read a map, use your other NavAids. The drones were likely GPS-enabled, off course GPS will be jammed.
Hopefully NATO will become undone .
Flight 655 had their IFF transponder turned off, flying in contested airspace. Do you dress up as a deer and go in the woods during deer season?
The plane was shot down in Kazakhstan, hundreds of miles from Ukraine.
Read a map!
Either the Chimese or us (USA).
Russia’s tech is far behind.
Don’t need a map, Kazakhstan shot it down.
IFF is military only. Commercial does not have Mode 4.
