Just wondering if any of my fellow FR friends are, like me, enjoying a solo Christmas Eve. I have all the presents wrapped, Christmas music in the background and will spend the evening with my faithful greyhound, Ralphie Parker and then George Bailey -- the same routine every year.
Any of you folks solo this evening?
I’m not alone, but at Christmas I always feel alone. You aren’t alone. I’m with you. You’re with us. Such relief when it’s over. (I like just normal.)
><
Me too! I guess I am Scrooge, Jr.
God bless you and my best wishes for you friend. I know what that’s like. I pray your family is touched by the Lord. I will send up prayer up for you tonight and tomorrow.
May the Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on you, on me, on us all.
just me dealing with the aftermath of my brother’s suicide and the vultures circling the remnants...
Merry Christmas!...
><
I am so sorry!
Merry Christmas, Skooz! God bless you.
Hang in there, CC. And Merry Christmas. 🌲 🌲 🌲 🌲

Alone again, by design and the Grace of God. Neither Santa or Krampus could find me even if they wanted.
A few minutes ago, I just sent out my usual Christmas email note to the few people I correspond with regularly.
And to the good people of FR: I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
‘Vultures,,,’
.
Ouch !
One can see right thru them.
God bless you hm during this tremendously difficult time for you.
This Guy’s only brother died prematurely and suddenly, albeit naturally, on a Thanksgiving at age 31 many decades ago and we his siblings have frankly been dragging arse through the Church Militant ever since. It still really stinks not to have him with us.
Alone, but remembering Christmases past.
In 2014 we went to midnight mass, Christmas eve, at St. Stephen’s Basilica, Budapest, Hungary. The music was amazing. Went ice skating earlier that day:

Not spending it alone this year, but I spent any number of years on duty in law enforcement. There were a number of times when alone would’ve been a step up from that.

Thank you for your kind wishes. I was blessed with half a century with him. I choose to smile because of what I had not cry because of what I have lost. I will see him again. He loved horses, and I imagine him in heaven taking care of the white ones we will be riding one day.
God bless you all!
Merry Christmas, Jim.
God bless.
You are not alone coz the freepers nice community is here. Merry Christmas 🙏

GOD SAVE THE REPUBLIC & ALL HERE!
Ah yes another XMAS at the house. My partner of 27 years died two years ago around Thanksgiving, Oddly the anniversary of her death was on Thanksgiving this year, and my Father passed away after XMAS 8 years ago.
So the holidays at this point are kind of sad, but I have such great memories and I will not let myself be depressed or be in a foul mood. I have lots to be thankful for.
I don’t have any children but I do have a niece that is like my child. Now tonight, she works for United Airlines, she is on her way to Japan working and when she gets back will look for a another flight to pick up hopefully to Europe, Then I see here in early January.
So a Very Merry Christmas to one and all tonight.
Blessings to you and my fellow Freepers!🙏🏼
Ain't that the truth.
I’m so very sorry . May God bring comfort where there is sorrow and peace where there is confusion. What a heartbreaking time.
After my wife passed away last year at age 70 from cancer, I spend Christmas alone. What friends are still alive are all in WA state while I am in FL. But had a wonderful cruise with both daughters early this month. Both are very busy with careers & family in WA state. So I really appreciated both taking a week off to spend time with dad.
Merry Christmas
