Denzel Washington has added a new role to his lengthy resume.
On Saturday, the “Gladiator II” actor was baptized at the Kelly Temple in New York City and received his minister’s license.
During the baptism, Washington, 69, spoke to the congregation about his faith before he was immersed in water.

The Catholic way is to be sprinkled with Holy Water by your neighborhood pastor. Sometimes, the priest will gently pour the water across the Baby’s head. That’s what happened to me, I was told. We don’t ‘dunk’, but to each his own ceremony.
End justifies means.
I hope and pray this is legit, but some of the things he’s said and done lately make me wonder, his role in Gladiator II being the latest. Let’s wait to see and hear what he espouses in the coming months ahead before making discernment.

This is the church that was near & dear to his heart, he attended Sunday School here as a child.
Agree. Ephesians 5:22-23 has a list of character traits he will begin to exhibit with the help of the Holy Spirit. Hope he is not one of the “skin of my teeth” saved believers. God bless Him. Hope it is a real conversion.

Good for Denzel! I’ve always liked and respected him and have felt he is a much better person than so many Hollywood folks.
