President Joe Biden’s administration is dedicating $1 billion to preserve the Ecuadorian Amazon as a means of addressing climate change, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Friday.

Americans last. “Foreign aid” is just a kickback scheme of Federal politicians and powerful bureaucrats who get rich stealing over half of the money they give away to connected and wealthy foreigners.
Sounds like commie Foggy Bottom is still at it.
Talk about a Dept. thAT NEEDS TO BE pHOENIXED....
I hope that someone is keeping a list of the people behind the curtain that are engineering these things, so that they can never again be in a position to pull this crap again!!
“A” and “Caps Lock” are WAY too close....
Doesn’t this need congressional approval first?!?
It happens to all of us
That’s what I assumed too.
President Sniffer wants to bankrupt the country before he leaves because he hates Trump... Biden’s a lowlife piece of scum and so is his money grubbing ‘family’ - so are we really surprised he’s spending like a drunken sailor?
This money is going into pockets.
Joe is probably not even in the room where they are making these decisions.
Pretty sure Johnson and his pack of RINOs gave the Executive Branch billions more money to ‘spend’ (and pile on the national debt of $36 trillion) many months ago.
And he wants to hem Trump in with the Debt Ceiling.
“Doesn’t this need congressional approval first?!?”
Yes, the Constitution requires Congress to appropriate every dime the federal government spends. Unfortunately the omnibus spending bills, and continuing resolutions like the one that just passed, are filled with billions of dollars of “discretionary” spending the President and bureaucrats can tap. Congress simply delegates its responsibility for fiscal discipline and oversight to the executive branch.
Blame Congress for not doing its job and passing detailed spending bills limiting the discretion of the President, cabinet heads, and bureaucrats to spending only on specific items clearly delineated.
If you are interested in how it is supposed to work, spend some time perusing the Annals of Congress which records the debates and activities of Congress from 1789 to 1824. You will see that Congress examined spending in minute detail and voted for individual spending items such as a replacement cannon for a specific fort. Very different from the modern Congress voting on huge trillion dollar plus spending bills, comprising thousands of pages no one except staff members have read.
The Annals of Congress preceded the current Congressional record. If you wish to take a look here is a link: https://digital.library.unt.edu/explore/collections/ANNALS/
Reading excerpts from the Annals is eye opening. The members of Congress from the early Republic would be appalled at the corruption and profligate spending of our current representatives.
Can the incoming Trump team put a stop to this and the other giveaways? It’s well into the billions.
Obama needs a country because he has no country. I wonder how Big Mike will like it.
Brazil Is a country with a high LGBT population. Obama needs a new country, He can’t return to a Muslim country and Martha’s Vineyard residents are done with the Obama nightmare.
Give aid to Americans suffering hurricane damage instead!
Really!
Trust me, I totally blame Congress for not doing its job.
