Parents outraged after California math teacher orders students to come out as gay or lesbian

A math teacher at a California high school left parents outraged after he ordered his students to either come out as gay or lesbian during an activity.

Freshmen at Rancho Buena Vista High School were participating in an elective seminar class designed to teach them how to be socially current when they were given a diversity, equity and inclusion exercise last month.

But the teenagers - and their parents - never could have expected what the assignment would entail.

Students were given the following instructions: 'Stand in a circle. Each of you is now gay or lesbian, and you are about to begin your coming out process. You cannot talk for the rest of this activity'.

The assignment prompted seven students to walk out of the classroom.

'Very uncomfortable,' James Leon, whose daughter is in the class, told NBC San Diego.

'She told me right away when she got home,' he added. 'She said, "Dad, you have to hear this."'

The activity landed the teacher along with the school district directly in hot waters after it was shared to social media.

It is FAR worse than that. What they are trying to do is to reproduce.

The only way that the LGBTQ community can grow is through ‘new and increasing membership.’ Call it indoctrination, call it whatever. But that is the only way they can grow at scale.

And they have …the number of people who identify as gay in college campuses has, literally, skyrocketed. To a point that even Liberals like Bill Maher admit points to indoctrination of some sort.

I could not find the name of the teacher

The only thing I could find was this:

1. From the article, the email from the Principal includes the phrase "Mr. Reyes, and other teachers who teach this part of the curriculum in the freshman seminar have supported other students who opted out."

2. A Brave AI search of the phrase "Rancho Buena Vista High School Mr. Reyes" returns an entry titled "Tommy Reyes - Math Teacher - Rancho Buena Vista High School..." The cached brief description of a LinkedIn entry for "tommy-reyes-5a19a357" says:
   • Math Teacher at Rancho Buena Vista High School · A high school math teacher with a determination to empower students and families to achieve what they need from my classroom · Experience: Rancho Buena Vista High School · Education: National University...

   • It cuts off after that. The LinkedIn entry has been made private or was deleted.

3. A Bing AI search using the same text string does not return the LinkedIn reference above.

I'm not saying this is the teacher, but it's the only "Mr. Reyes" that shows up in searches.
