Space is HARD!

I wonder how many untold $ billions Japan would pay for SpaceX’s rocket designs? The man holds the keys to space dominance.

failed for a second time Wednesday to launch its Kairos rocket...

Not only do they have a problem with time, they may want to rethink their brazen dismissal of those who have their backs.

Article:

“quickest lead times in the world”

Mission accomplished—they delivered the payload quickly. It just arrived in many pieces.

Lol.

Back in the 1980's I worked with a guy who hired on with NEC (Nippon Electric Company), to be a switchman troubleshooting their long distance telephone switches.   They flew him to Japan for their training school on the NEC Switch.   He told us later that the Japanese, because of the need to always save face, would troubleshoot bugs in a totally opposite way from us.

We first looked for the simplest mistake or fail point and worked up toward the most unlikely cause.   The Japanese were compelled to first look for the most unlikely cause because the simplest problem like checking to see if the power was on or off would be an insult to the person who had been responsible for turning on the power.
