The Republicans have a huge opportunity.
I believe that most people now see the Republicans as the party of the working man.

But that won’t last if we don’t actually support the working man.

I think Trump is on the right track with smaller government, less regulation, tariffs, and re-shoring manufacturing. But we also need to keep an eye on wages — they’ve been flat for decades and plenty of people with “real jobs” can’t afford to rent an apartment, or buy a house, or get married, or have kids. It’s a real problem.

The old-fashioned view of the Republicans was that they only cared about the business owner — the chamber of commerce. As long as the guy who signs the pay checks is doing OK, that’s enough. Well, if we want to help the working man, we have to find ways to get more wealth into the hands of the people who work for a living.

DECENT EDUCATION TO PRODUCE DECENT WORK VALUE FOR the EMPLOYER HAS BEEN EVEN FLATTER FOR AGES.

I WILL NEVER PAY a WAGE OF ANY KIND FOR “WORK” THEY CANNOT PERFORM.

“the chamber of commerce.”

I left them years ago. ‘Their philosophy was much different than my conservative values.
