Was talking to My Grandson Yesterday asking him if They started the day with the Class reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. I was pleased with the answer being Yes. I dug this out of the dusty sector of the youtube archives to play for Him when He gets Home Today.
I have had Him Stand and render the Civilian Salute at the start of the TV coverage of the NASCAR Races and if He's not in the room when it starts and if He hears it being Sung or the Music of it being played He will come running into the room He stands up and puts His hand over His Heart.
Even though His Mama is a commie I refuse to let Her fill His mind with that crap. I started last year telling Him about President Donald J. Trump and one day I heard Him say President Donald J. Trump to Her !!! I thought that she was going to burst into flames !!! (I enjoy cheap entertainment sometimes.🤪🇺🇸)
Anyway I thought it would be a good thing to do Today when He gets home from school to watch Red Skeleton explain the meaning of the words.
'Hydra' is a Marvel (now Disney) Evil Organization that has a Red Skeleton Skull Emblem..............
K✅🇺🇸
The Red Skelton show was my father’s favorite show that he would never miss.
Other than that he wasn’t much for TV.
His generation, the Greatest Generation needed laughs, as they had been dealt a hand with not much to laugh about.
First the Great Depression, then the War in which my father did his duty for six years mostly overseas.
If he were with us, he’d be 107 the day after Christmas.
Thanks
100% i remember when he did it on the show. good stuff...
I heard him do that back in the seventies at Busch Stadium before the ballgame.
Their generation, the Greatest Generation needed laughs.
That’s for sure. My Father would have been 97 back in September. He never talked about WW-II except that He was a Flight Engineer on C-47/C-54’s. I did feel nd a few papers after He Passed Away but not much info.
Thank You to All of Them and God Bless Their Souls.
According to The Handbook of Texas Online, “In 1933 the legislature passed a law establishing rules for the proper display of the flag and providing for a pledge to the flag: “Honor the Texas Flag of 1836; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible.”
The pledge erroneously referred to the 1836 national flag, known as David G. Burnet’s flag, instead of the Lone Star Flag. Senator Searcy Bracewell introduced a bill to correct this error in 1951, but the legislature did not delete the words “of 1836” until 1965.”
The pledge was again amended by House Bill 1034 during the 80th Legislature with the addition of “one state under God.” The revised wording became effective on June 15, 2007.
I’ve never seen a red skeleton before!
Sad, nationalism is dead, unless it’s National Socialism.
I bet most under-21’s have no idea what the Pledge even is.
Looks like he’s trying to grab someone’s Big Mac.
Why didn’t the red skeleton cross the road?
LOL!!
His name is actually spelled Red Skelton, not Skeleton.
Sure they do.
It’s what the Housekeeper uses to polish the furniture.
But now they are trying to understand why they are using people from a European Country on the table...
Sorry Red !
