Food industry workers are vowing to make any officials serving in President Donald Trump’s administration feel unwelcome when they dine out in Washington D.C. restaurants.
Industry veterans, bartenders, and servers pledged to refuse service and cause other inconveniences for Trump officials.

A list of off-limit places in DC would be very helpful. Of course, once it’s published, the whiners will complain that they are on the list.

This should be an action item. Officials who feel slighted should note it. At some point, owners and managers should feel the heat. It’s part of their job to see to it that all clients are treated well.
So making there tips tax free isn’t good enough?

Exactly. Apparently all of the food server “veterans” in DC are Harriz/Walzee RATS. That would be enough to keep me out of those joints as it is.
If service is poor, charge the owners with racial discrimination crimes and shut them down.
I don't believe in the tactics I just recommended but if things get wildly out of control it may be necessary.
DC is an expensive place to live.
It’s also an expensive place to run a business.
If I lived and worked in DC and wanted to keep living and working in DC, I would keep my head down and avoid all of whatever a handful of petty twinks have planned as their revenge strategy at all costs. It might make for a satisfying post on Bluesky or Reddit, but that won’t pay rent and getting “troublemaking waiter” attached to your name isn’t the career move they think it is.
Not only are these people arrogant, stupid and childish, they are so confused that they can’t see the contradictions in their own statements. One can conclude only that they are mentally ill and assist them in seeking help. I wish I could look up all of their names/restaurants and put cockraoches and mice strategically inside their establishments then call the health dept and leave a bad Yelp review. Kidding.

Two points:
1 - “progressive city” - Washington is a federal district and should always be neutral ground (I know...a pipe dream).
2 - Anyone eating in a Washington establishment should carry cash, and pay the full bill with the exception of any “service fees”. Tip on quality of service as you see fit.
Let’s keep a FR DC restuarant avoidance list.
That is OK. They will go out of business and someone will take their places.
