Watching the MNF game now and when seeing the Dallas QB Rush, it keeps hitting me that I miss El Rushbo
May he be RIP....
“They both sound alike.” Yes! I tuned in for a week or two after their debut and thought one of them hadn’t been able to join the broadcast and just one of them was holding the fort until the other guy was free to join the team! All in all, they’re pretty weak tea. I haven’t listened to them in ages. I wonder what their numbers are . . .
Paul Harvey's assessment of Rush demonstrated his characteristic subtlety: "He's the best there is... at what he does."
I introduced my Dad to Rushes show which then upon Dads retirement became the center of his day every day for decades.
Dad still laments Rushes passing every time we speak.
“..because of the trees he planted” Says I.
Rush helped to spread Tea Party ideas.
He provided public support to Sarah Palin, back when Sarah was so over the top popular, there were little plastic dolls sold, in her image, short “Teacher’s Hair and wire frame glasses. Libs & RINOs hated it.
It was also a time he could run long segments and get on a good roll. Later there were so many breaks and commercials.
Ah man, me too.
Man, I do to. I feel guilty enjoying all the winning and Rush is not around to enjoy it too.
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve subscribed to Michael Berry’s podcasts.
“He knew it was a hoax from the beginning.......”
Yeah, probably. But as the full extent of the intel agys participation became clear over time, it climbed a mind-boggling (to us mortals) advance to higher and higher levels of unbelievability, and I am not sure how Rush would have handled it.
Gosh, yes. Miss Rush! He was like an older brother to me.
While I could only listen to him occasionally when I was working. When i retired he was my daily lunch companion for ten years. I remember the day he announced his illness and the day his wife announced his death like they were yesterday….
He was truly a great man and can never be replaced….
Rush would be beaming. We owe so much to him.
Yep. I’ve been listening to Michael for years.
I really miss Rush, but Michael is also very good at what he does.
I wish Covid hadn’t killed the Redneck Country Club, but he’s got more ventures brewing.
Whenever I hear about Rio Linda, I think of Rush.
Wouldn’t Rush have had a a ball with this last election.
Rush was massively formational to my view of the world. I was just graduating from high school when he hit the scene. I listened to his show most every day until he passed. God speed, you lovable fuzzball. Mega Pearly Gate dittos.
Me too. Rush always talked with us - not at us....
Yes, we miss him very much, too.
