Liberals often deny the existence of the Deep State. Thus we see columns like this, in the New York Times: "What Happens When You Fight a ‘Deep State’ That Doesn’t Exist." And this one by David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker: "There Is No Deep State."
But on today's episode of CNN This Morning, host Kasie Hunt acknowledged something that is effectively a synonym for the Deep State.
Describing the challenges facing Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in their Department of Government Efficiency [DOGE] undertaking to render the federal government more efficient and less costly, Hunt said:
"There is this saying in Washington that, at the end of the day, the building always wins. So that even when you do try to do something, the building itself will push back."
So the "infrastructure" in place in the federal government will "push back" against any attempt to change the status quo. And that status quo is almost always of a liberal bent.
Sure sounds like . . . the Deep State!

The devil always denies he exists.
The Deep State always denies it exists.
This is not a coincidence.
Less building. More people.
That should be the new phrase.
And if you tear the building down?
I think she’s confusing it with the quote of “the house always wins”
They used to call it “city hall” - as you don’t fight city hall.
Except in D.C., the “House” means Congress.
I certainly see the appeal of taking over every US Department, reforming it and perhaps using it. I’m worried that in four years Democrats will be in power again. It might be wiser to abolish Departments outright.
On the other hand, the left “transformed” America through incrementalism. Can incrementalism work to America’s advantage?
Just like “the house always wins”
... except, at least most gambling operations have a commission that oversees fair operations.
It’s actually a good metaphor for the deepstate. Like a mob cartel with no checks and balances.

Big government serves the liberals' interests and benefits them in every way. Its their power base. Its their mothership. Its the very foundation they use to control everything. And that's why its so essential to downsize it.
Casie “The Freak” Hunt. Say it three times fast.
Kasie Hunt— somebody’s whore. What a “looker” Not!
Not bright and not long for her stupid job either.
Dread Pirate Roberts denied existence of ROUS until one bit him in the fanny.
When I lived in Italy they told me that they had an extensive, EXPENSIVE bureaucracy that was put in place when the French Bourbons ruled them. At the time (centuries prior) it was modern and kept track of all the paperwork in a much more organized way but it had grown out of control. Looks like we have the same issue. Hopefully this will change soon.
That’s why you burn the f’ing building down.
Some would call it;
Treasonous Activities.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.
