Hillbilly Justice. Forty years ago I was a young US Army Private in TN and I was speeding so fast in my car I was charged with reckless driving. I went to the court house and talked with an ADA. We worked out a deal where I was charged and settled for an basic speed law violation. I was poor for the next month, but I didn't go to jail and get booted out of the service, so it was worth every penny I paid.

Lynnwood, WA Judge Stephen Moore was/is one crooked sob. Justice is only his title, not his job. His job is to manipulate the law to bring as money as possible into Lynnwood county regardless. The man was not elected...he was hired by the city mayor. Amazing how screwed up the “justice” system can get.

Was this the judge that had the Sheriff’s young daughter’s number on his cell phone? The more I read of him, the more I believe he was one of those crooked judges that “jus’n needin shootin’.

This is smelling more and more like a whole network of crooked bastards who got caught then it all begin to unravel with the judge making the fatal mistake of threatening the sheriff and his family, possibly to make him take the public fall in exchange for their safety. The Sheriff may not have known what was going on but something tells me he did, perhaps not participating in it but not putting a stop to it until it became a direct threat to his family.

I hope I'm wrong and the Sheriff didn't know, began investigating and then was threatened before he was going to go public on the judge and the sex ring. I'm still hoping Stines turns out to be a good man.

The Sheriff did not shoot the judge just because the judge traded favors for sex.

It had to be a lot more personal, like a family member forced to provide sex, likely a daughter.

Sounds like the hillbilly seeking justice had been suffering from paranoia prior to this :

“[Stines] had attempted multiple times to contact his daughter throughout the day, and including the time while he was in chambers, and he tried to contact her from the judge’s phone,” Bartley said.

Some had speculated that the phone exchange indicated some kind of relationship between the judge and Stines’ daughter, which Bartley said is untrue.

Stines had been experiencing paranoia that his family was in danger prior to the shooting, which was caused by a civil lawsuit where he was named and deposed.

“Specifically, in the approximate two-week period prior to the incident in the judge’s chambers, pretty much all the witnesses the investigators talked to support what those close to Mickey had said as well,” Bartley said. “And that’s simply this: Mickey had become extremely paranoid. He’d become sleepless, basically wasn’t sleeping. [He] slept little, if at all. He had sort of become withdrawn.
