Two golf governing bodies – the LPGA and the USGA – announced new guidelines Wednesday requiring golfers to be female at birth or to have transitioned pre-puberty to be eligible to compete in women’s events. Both policies will take effect in 2025.
Athletes assigned female at birth are eligible to compete on the LPGA Tour, Epson Tour, Ladies European Tour and USGA championships and team events. Meanwhile, players assigned male at birth and who have gone through male puberty are not eligible.
“Our policy is reflective of an extensive, science-based and inclusive approach,” said LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan in a press release. “The policy represents our continued commitment to ensuring that all feel welcome within our organization, while preserving the fairness and competitive equity of our elite competitions.”

Should read "LPGA shows common sense.....kicks out mentally ill and sexually confused"
That should NOT even be a possibility, sheesh.
Transitioning “pre puberty” means craziness doesn’t it?
Hopefully SCOTUS is about to uphold this in TN and put an end to this craziness..
I hear you both.
If you’d have told me 10 years ago the SCOTUS would be hearing arguments on gender-affirming care for minors I would have questioned your sanity......but here we are.
And satan is laughing with delite. SMH
My first question when contemplating any social issue is “how will this be impacting transgender golfers?”
Ooooh, they’d love getting impacted.
Yep, the headline is especially dispicable
Meaningless language. The LPGA has essentially folded.
“assigned female at birth” — you’re not “assigned” a gender, you ARE a gender. XX or XY, nothing else matters.
Very true. You are not assigned to sex at birth you are actually born a certain sex.
We know these liberals and active as twists the language to suit their purposes.
This whole area of gender affirming care is language bending.
Actual gender affirming care, the way most of us use those words, to affirm someone’s gender, would be the offer counseling to young girls to accept that they are girls ,and the same for boys.
The way they use the words, gender affirming care, is the complete opposite of actual gender affirming care. What they call gender affirming care, is attempting to change the sex of someone, not affirming the actual gender someone was born as.
It’s my version of Senator Phil Gramm’s famous “Dickey Flatt test.”
(or to have transitioned pre-puberty)
Oh, mutilation of kids, eh?
Many come out smiling, but a few are in tears.

O.K., I just hope they know that the later condiiton, “transitioned pre-puberty”, is the “transitioning” period that is recommended AGAINST the most. When puberty has not occurred and is prevented from occurring, it is extremely likely that any kind of “sexual” life will not successful, not be satisfying at all. The “reassigned” tissues will be “pre-pubescent” (undeveloped) and thereby not be successful at representing their reassigned functions. This has been reported by majorities of “trans” adults who were “transitioned” before puberty.
Full disclosure: The whole thing in my opinion is not “transitioning”, it is MUTILATION and should NEVER be done. My only point in the above is that those with “transitioning” experience have reported that pre-pubescent phsyical “transitioning” is bad, long term, and should not be done.
Yup! Addressing an issue that doesn’t exist. No such thing as transgender. XX or XY. That’s it.
and you would be correct, it is mutilation. No matter what word or group or words you put around the issue, it is exactly that.
Parents or guardians who do this to their children should be post-natal aborted.
If the gender pretenders don’t likes the rules, they can just not play...
No one is "assigned" male or female at birth. What happens is that the doctor, or other person, observes the sex of the newborn and records it.
