You also can supplement or kick start it with MCT oil
BHB appears to let our bodies remove Alzheimers plaques. Strangely, it might happen more quickly than we would have realized.
That’s where the sudden lucidity arises when people are on their death beds and suddenly are cogent a period of time before passing.
What? Mice models don’t know how to fold proteins?
Damn, I’m good at the 12 hour fasts but I did a 24 and even a 48 and I saw spotted elephants :)
THANKS for the MCT oil tip.
They’re models. All they have to do is look good and let someone else fold the proteins for them.
I’ve never folded a protein myself, but I’ll admit I don’t know how to fold a fitted sheet. Personally, I doubt that anyone can.
Does this have to do with the Folding@Home FR group that gave complete, remote access of their desk top computers to the web?
That would be quite interesting to know.
AD patients typically eat carb-heavy.
You are correct!
I wonder if coconut oil would have the same effect.
You probably can only fold them 7 or8 times then you have to start over.
Doesn’t matter how you try it, you’ll always end up with a sort-of-rectangular wad.
Best results are obtained by rolling the fitted sheets around a 4” diameter section of drain pipe. It presses the sheets while rolling them up and if you tape the end or put rubber bands around it, it stays fairly flattened.
Does anyone know if Methyl Ethyl Ketone works the same as Ketone ? I have a can of it and I can just rub it on. That should work instead of swallowing it, right ?
Will the MEK be ok if I mix it with the MCT ?
And Who is Ester?
P.S. I heard that if you lick the back of the nematodes, it will get you high.
Wasn't she one of the actrresses on the Sanford and Son TV show way back when?
Yes, but can they fold a fitted sheet??

“Ordinary coconut oil can raise ketone levels but not as quickly or significantly as MCT oil. Its higher lauric acid content means ketone production is slower and more gradual, making it a supplementary fat source for ketosis rather than a primary tool for boosting ketone levels.”

I believe my CBD drops are made with MCT oil but not a cook or nutritionist and don’t know much about it.
I am of the opinion also that there is a synergistic process involved, probably with gut bacteria. If your gut flora is simple carb/sugar focused, they will emit chemicals that enhance your crave. My paternal grandmother suffered a head injury once, mild appearing in symptom, but involving a cranial hematoma. She went all-in on sugar, from bear claws to table spoons of it. Everybody (family) was all bummed. She was on a different world mentally and my parents were resigned to assisted living facility for her. I said she’d be fine after a few weeks in there with a guided diet, and sure enough she was out after a month. Back to normal for close to another decade before she passed.
Pop’s having issues with this (Alzheimer’s type stuff) now, but no one wants to put the hammer down on eating sweet/snacky things. And he’s not physically impaired by it, just neural (he’s a war machine still physically)
