For some reason, people think it’s like a movie and they’ll get up and walk away. In CA it was alway a problem along the rocky parts of the coast (which is virtually all of it!), no matter how many warning signs they put up. I wonder if possible the ocean waves are mesmerizing to some degree? Her back history said this area was her favorite of all in her travels as well.

I'm one who will not go in the ocean at all...nope...I'm a solid ground gal. So it's difficult to understand why people take the chances they do in such a powerful an unpredictable force as the ocean.
