She served as President of a local school board, planted a church...

How do you "plant a church"? Kinda metaphorical, isn't it?

well , i took it straight from her web site.

while im not crazy about a woman pastor, but the rest looks pretty conservative to me.

She appears to have put in a lot of effort and work for her community in lots of diverse areas.

i think we got lucky and got a good one here.

it is, a euphemism.

but basically means starting a church from scratch in stead of just taking over an existing congregation.

not an easy thing to do .

I’m a bit prejudiced, as I have known her all her life, she is a very special person. She has a wonderful and successful family. Heather will be great!

not an easy thing to do.

But it has its advantages. I think that's a 508(c) 1 (A).

As a fellow Modocian, she will be great. In the larger picture, in the not distant future, the woman she is replacing in this election was voted into her timed out husbands State Senate seat. There are rumors husband - now without portfolio Brian Dahle, will run on the R ticket for Newsom's seat in 2026. That is a good thing.

Well, she is Republican at least:

Heather Hadwick is a Republican candidate running for California State Assembly District 1. She is a small business owner, farmer, and former Deputy Office of Emergency Services Director at the Modoc County Sheriff’s Office.

Your assessment looks good on paper anyway. 🙂👍

awesome.

/-)

i take it the pastor thing was a job that needed doing , and she stepped up and did it.

reminds me of Lydia

Act 16:14

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

\/

im encouraged for the north state , thankful she ran and won.

if we can populate sacramento with more of her caliber there will be hope for the state as a whole.

i will also put her on my prayer list .
