Why do Catholics always accuse others of following Luther?
Luther and his teachings have no bearing on my walk with Christ or my understanding of Scripture.
I can read it for myself. I don’t need a man to tell me what to believe like Catholics do.
“Why do Catholics always accuse others of following Luther?”
That’s a good question. It never occurred to me. I guess RCs don’t get that some groups existed pre-Luther, and pre the invention of Catholicism as a revenue-generating entity.
The church we’ve attended for several months is PCA Presbyterian, and I’ve noticed they have some extra focus on Luther. I would call them true “Protestants”.
There’s none of that in the Baptist Church where I was raised. We learn about Luther and the Reformation, but as just history; we don’t elevate Luther. Since we didn’t “protest” with Luther, not Protestants.
Luther and his teachings have no bearing on my walk with Christ or my understanding of Scripture.
Because the concepts of sola fide and sola Scripture, which all Protestants follow, are his inventions. Whether you like it or not, you are following the tradition that he started.
I can read it for myself. I don’t need a man to tell me what to believe like Catholics do.
Are you telling me that you reached the same conclusions that Luther and Calvin did without reading any Protestant commentaries on the Bible?
