A 65-year-old golfer died at a course in Florida after being attacked with his own clubs in what appears to be a "random act of violence," police say.
Junior Boucher, 36, is now facing a first-degree murder charge after the death of Brian Hiltebeitel at the Sandhill Crane Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens Monday afternoon.
"At this time, it does not appear that Boucher had any legitimate purpose for being at the golf course. This appears to be a random act of violence where Boucher used the victim's golf clubs as weapons and viciously attacked the victim, ultimately killing him," Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Dominick Pape said at a news conference Tuesday.

> Look at the pic in #5... That is not a ‘white guy’ <
That picture is what I based my comment on. Look at the hair right above his forehead. It’s got white guy curls.
But then again he could be mixed race. Not that it matters.
“Things like this is why I now carry everywhere......and I mean EVERYWHERE.”
At this point in time, there is no other choice. Even in our rural area where violent crime is practically nil, you never know when a simple trip to the Dollar General a few miles away is going to end with you running into a violent out-of-towner who starts trouble as they are passing through.
Speaking of that, we just got back from running some errands, and even in our neck of the woods, there were cops everywhere. I don’t know if liberal college students are returning home in a foul mood, or crazy Aunt Shannon is coming back home for a visit for the first time in years, but something is in the air.
We have decided not to leave home again until next week. LOL!
Wouldn't surprise me.
Why are so many people so afraid to face reality when it comes to the problems society is currently facing?
Golf is usually played with two or three people or in a foursome.
There was no mention in the article of others playing with the victim or from nearby attempting to help the victim.
No, it shouldn’t matter... But trust me, if it were a white guy attacking a black guy it sure would. This is the opposite I’m sure.

Some wise person once said: “Have an option between your fists and a firearm.” That’s why I mentioned police-grade pepper spray. It’s fits that need.
But yeah, you’re right. It’s not Eisenhower’s America anymore.
Too bad the victim wasn’t prepared to turn his golf outing into a target shooting session.
Which I doubt that anything less than a 357 would stop crazies.
Gay tussle?
Sports is the Fentiate of the masses, just like religion was the opiate of the masses. As they used to say.
Despite strong laws, criminal prosecution in Florida tends to be less vigorous in areas with Democratic prosecutors like Palm Beach County. In addition, public mental health and drug treatment slots are grossly inadequate and of limited value. The unhappy truth that the world is full of broken, hurt, and often dangerous people on the loose for whom there is little remedy but more and better police and criminal prosecution and sanctions -- and a Glock in your golf bag, just in case.
Police will not help. The only solution is mental asylums. One flew over.
Sounds like the perp found himself a new place to live after being evicted from the family home—murder someone and live in prison the rest of his life.
Attacker has long history of mental illness and violent criminal record. Plus drugs.
Carry. Always. Everywhere.
Did they talk to the wife....
That does it, now I’m packing on the golf course too.
I admire the skill required for golf. And it has a “meta game” like no other. (Hint: all the business deals and camaraderie that can go on during a game.) But I have no desire to play and can’t sit still long enough to watch others play.
Most people don’t carry on the golf course. But that may change. My group occasionally plays at Clifton Park in East Baltimore and it is not unusual for a police cruiser to come across the course. The course itself is nice… getting into and out of it is the iffy part.
In the golf bag, always carry an aluminum Baseball bat. The one with the weighted in works best. If you can’t defend yourself with a bag of clubs, you just can’t defend yourself. First thought would have been to grab an iron, or my bat.
