I have been on levothyroxin for about 7 years. Around that time I started getting back ache regularly. Fifteen years earlier I was getting back ache and started taking 3 mg. a day boron. Pain gone but recurred again so started taking 3 mg. boron morning and evening. Last year at annual physical suggested possible stopping of levo, but after testing said to continue. He also recommended bone density test. Perhaps he was reacting to this new danger info. I apparently have not shrunk much since I upped my boron use 7 years ago, but with some back pain again, I may add another 3 mg. per day to the 6 I am already taking. I am also careful to maintain my 2 to 1 ratio of taking calcium and magnesium supplements. Occasional leg cramps warn me if I am not taking enough.
Gleeaikin, I would encourage you to try UC-II collagen for a month or more.
Your back may feel good again. It stops the autoimmune response from Type 2 collagen leaks from our back discs.
There are two other studied options to help with back disc Type 2 collagen. Contact me back, if interested.
