Firefox just updated their browser and my settings with tabs below the address bar are now on top. This is a continuing problem with them and a bunch of years (12-15 or longer) ago they decided to change tab location placement and each time some kind IT type has user chrome steps to put them back where they belong, below the address bar.
So I can use some help to put them back and, no, I'm not going to change to Brave or some other browser -- I have add-ons that I use every day here on FR so just looking for someone to help me out.
Consider yourself lucky if that’s your biggest problem in life.
Do what?
Tabs are always above the Address bar. Am I just misunderstanding?
Maybe he means the bookmarks tool bar?
Actually, I wouldn’t call his an issue. More like a request that some Firefox users like.
For a longtime user like myself, tabs were originally below the menu and address bars, clean and easily seen. Firefox decided to follow other browsers and put them on top, but those who enjoyed them on the bottom have to resort to adding steps in the userchrome.css file to get them where they belong. It’s been relatively easy for a programmer to achieve but for us users, especially an old or older one like myself, it’s more daunting and help is needed.
Thanks, that's exactly what I am looking for and other commenters verify it works with FF version 133. It's too bad that browser users have to resort to this. But I've found over the years the folks here on FR have the skills to help others so it's much appreciated.
He turned his computer upside down.
For a decade or more, I have used Tree Style Tab with my FireFox browser. This add-on arranges my open tabs in a column on the left side. I sometimes have 100 tabs or more open at any given time.
Each tab can be easily closed or the entire tab tree can be saved and closed.
They also meddled with (screwed up) the bookmarks folder.
I hate changes that aren’t for the better.
Easy fix plus a few other tips. Ignore the Thunderbird email steps as it is for an older version.
Get the free Patcher. This will also allow multiple tabs in rows and move the tabs below the bar.

Thanks again for the link. After saving my current userchrome file it was an easy install and everything seems to work o.k.
Good to hear. Sometimes, there is some hiccup that messes up Firefox when using the userChrome.css file.

Been using that for years to enable multiple tab rows.
Note however, that the Gecko-based Floorp browser allows that as an option. I found you can run multiple installations of it (which you can with portable Firefox with a little editing,
The best Chromium-based browser IMO is Vivaldi, and you can enable multiple tab rows on that, as you can for Firefox via various instructions, none of which are official options.
Just today, my Firefox stopped blocking display ads.
I use uBlock Origin on Firefox. Works great.
