“Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing ... committee’s chairman, Rep. Gary Peters, D-Mich.”

Why is a representative the chairman of a Senate committee?

Mayor’s was seen at the southern border trying to get across the Rio Grande, but was detained by the drug cartel for not having the required entrance fee and the other mutt volunteered to be the first human to travel to Mars on a space X previously owned by Mr. Majestic Musk

I think they are right. I wouldn’t either. The Congress keeps funding them lavishly, buying them new multibillion dollar HQs, reauthorizing FISA warrantless spying, etc even while the AG and his FBI director flip the finger to Congress. If you were them and Congress was that supine, would you go?

Congress is getting the respect it deserves.

Lying to Congress (under oath or not) is a serious crime.

Not hard to figure out why Wray and Mayorkas would want to avoid this, with the Trump administration coming soon.

And telling the truth to Congress about how you have broken your oath to uphold the Constitution is the confession of an even bigger crime.

Here's the oath they have broken:

"I, [Wray and Mayorkas], do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
They have broken their oath. They're skeerd.
