Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged about firing a new kind of ballistic missile at Ukraine early Thursday — while threatening to also use it against other powers arming Kyiv, including the US.
In an unscheduled televised address to the nation, Putin said he sent a hypersonic missile called Oreshnik — Russian for hazelnut tree — to strike a facility in Dnipro in response to Kyiv’s recent use of British and American missiles to attack Russian territory.

he threatened to use it against anyone supplying missiles to Ukraine — and warned that US air defenses would be powerless to stop the ordnance, which moves at 10 times the speed of sound.

I don’t believe we have ever been closer to nuclear war…the democrat administration is insane and should be held accountable.
We really should stop launching attacks inside Russia and being cute about it, pretending we are just innocent bystanders. They have tolerated US and British planned and run strikes inside Russia far longer that we would.
Can anyone imagine the complete freak out that would occur if targets in the UK or DC were hit by Russian or Chinese missiles they supplied for someone else? We would go high order that very day.
Right now there is a hubris in the DC/London Axis that is certain that nobody would ever dare hit them back. They think they can bomb Russia and the people will throw out Putin and install some western friendly Navalny type.
It’s an insane gamble for not much reward except for western bankers and oil companies.
Or it may be something new. We don’t actually have that much intel on Russian missiles of late, and some of Iskander-M’s capabilities came as a really nasty surprise a couple years ago.
Yeah, but hitting DC might not be the worst thing ever. Cleaning up the Swamp by different means, perhaps.

I think we could powerwash off the monuments, plant some new cherry trees, and start with some new people representing us. And if any survived because of some damned continuity of government thing worked and some of the swamp survived... we round them up as they emerge from their bunkers and try to assert that they are in charge.
If the swamp gets us nuked, we ought to at least get new leaders outta the deal.
