A Hawaii woman who has been missing since she failed to board a connecting flight in Los Angeles sent “alarming” text messages before she vanished, her family has said.
The family of Hannah Kobayashi, 30, who has been missing since Friday, Nov. 8, said she felt “scared” in the text messages while staying in L.A. ahead of her scheduled connecting flight to New York City.
"Hannah’s last message to us was alarming — she mentioned feeling scared, and that someone might be trying to steal her money and identity," family member Larie Pidgeon wrote on Facebook on Nov. 14. "She hasn’t been heard from since, and we are gravely concerned for her safety.”

So this happened in a secured portion of the airport, past security, where there are cameras? Amazing

Wrong hotel? Wrong neighborhood? LA is a sh*thole.
I think the article implies that she was staying in LA while waiting to catch another flight. However, if you have been to LAX recently, you would see how easy it might be to disappear there. It’s truly one of the outer circles of Hell, with an unearthly degree of swirling chaos and confusion.
Police have footage of her at Pico metro station with some unknown person.
“...someone might be trying to steal her money and identity,...”. This strikes me as odd. If I was scared for my safety, why would I write that I am scared someone might steal my identity?
Maybe forced into the world of sex trafficking. Other than that she is dead.
Suspicious me would say this is a plan to disappear. What was her home life like?
I think someone else had her phone at the airport and she was never there
Pidgeon told NBC News that Hannah’s last texts to her family were sent on Monday, Nov. 11. She added that some of the messages didn’t sound like they were written in her voice.

She likely had to wait over night for a next flight which meant she probably went out to the immediately surrounding hotels, etc. and tried to get a room.. A very bad idea. That are is NOT America..
