Hagar was a better singer with a stronger voice. But Roth was a better front-man - he was perfect for that band. Too bad the monster egos broke up that first version of Van Halen.

I saw a video of Sammy and Fieri hop on a private jet to go visiting the Tool singer at his desert vineyard. Highly entertaining.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPadmX8VZxs
Tool frontman Maynard Keenan invited Sammy Hagar of AXS TV and Guy Fieri to his beautiful vineyard in Jerome, Arizona where he talked about his inspiration behind bringing wine to the desert. After offering a taste of some of his grapes, Keenan invited the visiting pair to sample the pizza at his food truck, which is driven around the state in order to connect the wine with the food.

Saw that as well. Maynard is more interesting and talented than the other two put together x 10.

I suspect much of the time is for aging.

“Maynard is more interesting and talented than the other two put together x 10.”

Yeah very high IQ. And growing wine grapes in the desert. Very unusual, but Maynard is doing this. Which takes lots of learning and self-education.

But give Hagar credit. He sold his tequila company for 80 million in 2007. Now he is starting another one with Fieri.

The top of the line Tequila stolen was over three years old “extra Añejo” You just can’t replace over night. That hurt and it’s sad that this went down in the States, although I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cartels were involved.

You could make it in the US but you’d have to call it something else. The same is true of Bourbon, Scotch, Champaign, and several other wines, whiskeys, and cheeses.

The late singer-businessman Jimmy Dean got in trouble with the FDA for making “Southern Style Sausage” in Iowa and had to rename the product “Country Style Sausage”

Okay, thank you. Was not aware. Not my choice of drink so I have never paid attention.

One oddball exception is sotol, a liquor made from a plant similar to agave, native to the Chihuahuan desert. Since that includes part of West Texas, distillers in that state can make the stuff (though the Mexicans aren't very happy about it).

It isn't going to stores so the black market is the place to look for both supply and sources for law enforcement.

Will the Texas Rangers be in on the investigation? I feel sorry for the banditos if they are.
