here’s this woman on TikTok called Doormat Mom, and she’s stirring the pot with some pretty controversial stuff about her estranged kids. Now, she’s asking if it’s okay to leave them out of her will.
“Should I include, axe, or modify? What’s the deal with ungrateful adult children and inheritances?”
“What’s the kids’ side of the story?”
More than 1200 people answered her. Some viewers are like, “Heck yes, cut them out!” while others are saying, “What about the kids’ side of the story?” A few are even suggesting leaving money to the grandkids, but only if the parents don’t get a cent.

A widow was in her early 80s and was having difficulty living alone in her home. Had three adult children none of whom offered her any real assistance. So she sold her home and spent the next five years touring the world on round the world cruises. Really enjoyed herself, had all meals prepared, suite cleaned daily and got along fabuosly with the crew and other passengers. Very little left of her estate when she died.
Good for her! Sounds like fun!
History might have eventually forgotten Grigsby's name and overlooked his tombstone as family ties became more distant, yet Grigsby may always be remembered for his famous parting words - an epitaph he made his family promise to engrave if they wanted their inheritance.
"Through this inscription I wish to enter my dying protest against what is called the Democratic party. I have watched it closely since the days of Jackson and know that all the misfortunes of our nation have come to it through this so called party. Therefore, beware of this party of treason."
Don’t leave them out, leave them $!.00
Hey, if you’ve never had a Habañero Mocha or a Monkeypod Mai Tai with Lilikoi foam, that s**t is worth posting about.
When I had my will done my Lawyer
Had me do just That!
.
It’s an ugly story.
This person I am thinking about posts pictures almost daily of her Dunkin coffee and afternoon cocktail, etc. Not because she is eating at some cool outdoor cafe on the Amalfi Coast.
I don’t get the whole .... oooh, look at my meltdown post on social media thing, at all! And, it seems ALL ages are doing it.
🙃
Indeed.
They’re narcissistic, plain and simple.
They have a drink that is served with a coconut Popsicle in it.
Totally agree...just because you *can* share it, doesn’t mean you *should*!
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT: WHO IS THE EXECUTOR???
MY brother made decisions without some of us even knowing-—and he was always the winner in every decision.I WILL NEVER FORGIVE HIM. HE is specifically written out of my will—NOT even a dollar.
Mr. GG2’s two libtard self absorbed offspring barely interact with him. We don’t really know why. There was never unpleasantness they just drifted away. They get nothing in the will.
My sis and I were/are co-executors of Mom’s Will. Today, I had the last (I think) conversation with the attorney. She mentioned how good it was to work with four siblings who got along, and there were no negative issues.
It is very telling when a mother of estranged kids will air this kind of dirty laundry for all the world to see.
My aunt & uncle created a Trust which paid out a portion of their money for some number of years to the kids. Their house was sold and the money divided among the 5 kids right away. Their grandkids also received money. The 5 kids all get along but money can corrupt.
This was done in response to what happened to my dad which was his brother. The middle daughter stole almost all his money $108,000 about 18 months after our mom died leaving him just $27,000 which she would have stolen if he had not died and the oldest then conspired with her to divide up the cash. She also tried to cash one of his life insurance policies but that company notified the rest of us. She also tried to steal his new pickup truck but had to sell it then divided the money among us. She then wrote a bad check to the dealership and it took several months for them to recover the truck.
My 3rd sister sued for the $108,000 and won but after one small payment they stopped paying. You have to sue and sue again. I have known several others who have stories about similar problems and read about many others over the years. Too common.
