I just got word from the North Pole that Santa is looking for really, really, kind people this year.
Supply chain issues of all kinds due to red tape and weather may cause shortages and delays of the usual things children ask for at Christmas.
Now, here's the thing. Santa knows that families in North Carolina have lost so much, and even everything. Houses, pets, family members, land, jobs, some whole towns were washed away in the terrible floods of Helene.
Many families and children are sleeping in shelters and tents, they have no clothes of their own, their toys and bikes and food are gone. These families went from a regular, everyday world like we all have to a world where they are cold, hungry, and afraid.
Santa is wondering if some brave and kind boys and girls are willing to give up all or a lot of their usual Christmas gifts this year, so that he and the elves and the reindeer can fly in great amounts of food and clothing and building supplies.
This years' sacrifice by very kind-hearted boys and girls all over our country would mean the world to our fellow Americans who can use every bit of help they can get.
It's not too early for children to learn kindness, and to know that there are people in the world in real trouble. It's not to early to learn that even small sacrifices can make a huge difference in someone else's life.
Think about it, would you?
I know the Cajun Navy regularly posts Amazon Needed Lists for various, distributing churches and other places.
If you think this is any kind of good idea, please think about it. Share what places are working down there.
And talk to the kids about giving up this years so other kids who lost everything can have hope.
Luv to you all -
Lisa

Let’s put CHRIST back in CHRISTmas and give GOD the glory for shining the light of CHRIST by helping those in need.
The people in NC still need help!
Hi Stars! Of course. I should have put that in there, too. I was thinking this is a wonderful way to show children exactly what it means to model Christ in the world. Giving up your own comforts to benefit others.
Thank you for calling me up on that. :)
Between us, Hubs and I have spent many holidays with nothing but joy in our hearts from listening to what we believe is God’s voice, prompting us to help here and there.
But.
As a Christian, parent, and grandparent, I always bring Christ into Christmas for the kids in some way or other. More than one way or other.
Anyway. Thanks :)
Thank you, Airborne <3
I’m gutted on a daily basis to know what deprivations they’re going through, and how morally bankrupt and useless FEMA or anyone from the government is and has been.
Hubs and I don’t have as much as usual this year to give, so I thought maybe using my organizing and planning talents might make an even bigger contribution.
Be well, be blessed.
You can obtain your goal without that.
JMO, YMMV
Thank you so much for your input. I hope you consider donating to a worthy cause through a reliable group.
