That's a lot of cheddar.
I assume this is not for personal use, how do you sell that much stolen cheese? Is it going overseas? Could a competitor do it, to raise the price of cheddar?
It's sad, because that's some of the only good food made there.

Cheese is a big deal in Europe. That's why it was stolen. You're probably right, though. The perps will most likely be caught. They stole too much cheese and will get snared in the resale market.

According to the BBC, the shop usually sells the Hafod Welsh for £12.90 (about 16.72) for 300g, the Westcombe for £7.15 (about $9.27) for 250g, and the Pitchfork for £11 (about $14.26) for 250g.
So they managed to convert pounds to dollars but not grams to pounds..?

20 tons is 2000x20=40,000 lbs. So about $10 a lb. Reasonable for specialty cheese.
