Washington Examiner chief political correspondent Byron York warned that former Rep. Matt Gaetz is a “terrible pick” for attorney general.
President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he had chosen Gaetz as the chief legal officer, and the Florida congressman subsequently resigned from the House of Representatives. While on Special Report with Bret Baier, other guests suggested that Gaetz was the choice to enact major reform in the Justice Department as Trump wants, but York said that “Matt Gaetz can still be a terrible pick” even if he does as Trump says.

Just get rid of them, they don't make you smarter.
Now I know it was a good pick. The rats stole 3 Senate races and are in the process of stealing PA. That is 4 probable yes votes gone. Murk and Collins will be no. I don’t like Matt’s chances.
It would be nice if DeSantis told those Rino pigs if they reject him as AG he’ll be their next colleague.
Mr. York misunderstands his job. He could present facts that Mr. Gaetz has been nominated, alone perhaps speculate on his priorities as AG. Any commentary beyond that must be anchored in the fact that the current AG has normalized prosecution of his political enemies and Matt is more likely to prosecute anyone involved in Garland’s schemes than he is to prosecute any other political figure. York knows this and yet gives himself permission to toe the pc line. He doesn’t get that when he says this, the average American stopped caring what he thinks.
He likes his dog dish when it's full.
“...hugely aggressive role in nearly destroying the House — the Republican Party in the House of Representatives...”
Nearly destroying the House by invoking the House’s rules???
Is that, an obvious lie, all this man has, along with the fact that he is attacked on all sides like Trump?
Should being attacked by detractors be the determining factor in choosing an Attorney General?
It is like the song by Toby Keith: Sometimes you have to draw a hard line. Gaetz is known for drawing a hard line.
Gaetz is amazingly articulate and it would be fun to watch his hearings if he has to go through them.
York liked McCarthy and can’t get over it. He’s blinded by personal feelings, now his opinion sucks.
this guy who worked for Bill kristols weekly standard.
Or Ken Paxton....
There...fixed.
“I would have liked to see Pam Bondi as AG...”
She would have been a much better choice.
HOORAY Matt Gaetz!
Will he (please) go after letitia james the way Mike Davis recently promised.
First question to new AG: Do you believe the NY AG has a fat ass?
More partisan than Holder?
Byron York the never Trumper.
Yes their Justus dept. won’t work the same any more.
