I like Pam Bondi.
Will be a good Attorney /General pick when Senate balks at Matt Gaetz

No. I am against family dynasties in either party.

I like Laura but if she wants to get into the US Senate, she needs to earn it by winning an election (not appointed).
I would not like it if a governor appointed Chelsea Clinton to the Senate. It smells too much of royalty.

Agreed. Donalds is a good solid choice without the whiff of nepotism. Only drawback is that it leaves another house seat temporarily vacant when we already have a paper-thin majority.

I was skeptical of Lara at first. Boy, I am a convert. She did a great job with the RNC.
I would rather see her in the Senate than Gaetz.

I think Byron would be a great VP to JD Vance in 2028...I've been saying the same thing. Both are from humble beginnings. One is from the big city and one from the hills.

Wait to see how Gaetz plays out.
Gaetz reportedly has already resigned from his House seat. That seat is open no matter what happens with Gaetz's confirmation.
To: Rio
No! I like her at the RNC

Seems like a separate issue. Lara would be a big improvement but I doubt Ron will do it. I think there is probably still a little friction left over between Ron and Trump.

I assume DeSantis will make the call based on what’s best for Florida and whats best for him and his probable 2028 run for the presidency. I’d be surprised if it’s Lara Trump.
To: rdl6989
Yes. We had to suffer Uncle Festermann, they can learn to put up with Gaetz.
Lara did a great job but no more banana republic stuff. We’ve had 4 years of it.

This would be a win… but here’s an even better idea: Matt Gaetz.
DeSantis should announce that if the Senate doesn’t confirm Gaetz as AG, they will get Senator Matt Gaetz instead.. their choice. Checkmate.
