He only suggested it once and it has cost him dearly.
Think of the millions of slanderous lies directed at President Trump—over and over and over and over again—yesterday, today, and yes tomorrow will be as well.
Where in the world did the courts suddenly determine that saying what a person honestly believes to be true is somehow prohibited speech?
Regardless of what the “truth” is behind Sandy Hook (because we will never REALLY know the truth - though real human beings lost their lives), if Alex Jones genuinely believed what he said on his program... there is no moral or Constitutional basis for him losing a lawsuit... much less over a $BILLION in judgement against him.
Irrespective of that, a nearly $1.5 billion in defamation lawsuit judgment is completely outrageous. Its the equitant of a civil death sentence.
How in the world did they come up with that figure? How did they show that level of damages? How was him expressing his opinion on the shooting (dumb as it was)in anyway defaming of the families?
This is very dangerous lawfare and should not stand.
Interestingly. Nobody can seem to find a video of him definitely saying Sandy Hook was a fake with crisis actors.
That’s because he never said it. He questioned some anomalies, as I still do. That dad, laughing as he stepped up to the microphone? Utterly nuts.
If he said it, they would have run the video on a continuous loop.
