Rubio is a narcissist. He is self serving. He seeks unlimited power for himself. He is out of touch with the people he serves. He is an obsequious panderer. I will be deeply ashamed if he is appointed to any office in the Trump administration.
Buckle up snowflakes, RFK and Tulsi will soon be appointed to head major departments.

Trump seems to be adding a lot of politicians to his incoming team. That disappoints me. All of these folks have demonstrated some level of willingness to bend to media opinion. Especially Rubio and Noem.
He could do a lot better with his appointments . . . until you consider what a Harris administration would have looked like.

That said - gotta take the good with the bad, and there’s not much they can do without Trump’s stamp... do there’s that.
I’m OK with Marco. He’s matured somewhat over the last 4 years. Trump’s foreign policy is no secret so Marco will do what Trump tells him to do.
Kristi Noem is the only really questionable choice. I give her 6 mos before Trump has to replace her.
Rubio may be aware of all that if true and it might just help his resolve to do a good job with whatever his appointment might be.

Rubio, who appears to have a past as a flaming homo in a YMCA-like leather band, and was a fixture at homo foam parties in Miami nightclubs, was a fully compromised member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, which is supposed to give oversight to the Intelligence Community, but which really seems like a unit made up of IC assets.
By hiring him, Trump is getting him off that committee, and opening a seat for somebody he will probably be essentially choosing, who may actually perform some form of oversight. And he can always be fired later if he tries anything as SOS.
None of that is correct. The “leather band” was a picture from his high school yearbook where he, along with then rest of the football team were doing a skit at some assembly at the high school - you could even see “Cobras” in the background of the picture which was the high school mascot. That whole story was easily researched to be a lie...yet years later, here you are recycling it.
Foam parties are not a “homo” activity. They may do that as well but it certainly is not an exclusive activity. Look it up. Common thing done in college at gatherings and children’s birthday parties and the like.

The seat would be up for special election in 2026, same year DeSantis’ second and final term ends. So whatever replacement he appoints would need to be someone who is not interested in running again if his plan is to run for that seat...appointing oneself could be problematic politically, even in a deep red state.
