Trump Floats Paying Harris Campaign Debts: ‘Whatever We Can Do to Help’ in Spirit of ‘Desperately Needed UNITY!’

President-elect Donald Trump said Saturday that the Republican Party should pay Vice President Kamala Harris’s reported campaign debts in a show of “UNITY” in a Saturday morning social media post.

Harris raised more than $1 billion during her 107 days as a presidential candidate but reportedly walked away from the 2024 race with significant debts.

Democratic National Committee official Lindy Li told Fox & Friends Weekend Saturday morning that Harris’s ill-fated campaign was a “$1 billion disaster.”

“I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over,” Trump wrote. “Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do.”

The fact that Harris’ campaign went into debt paying Hollywood whores like Bruce Springsteen and Cardi B for endorsements should be a matter for Democrats to fight out themselves.

In a just world asking if they would do it for him is not a rigt question. In this case though, an exception is in order. Doing them a favor in the spirit of unification is a waste of money. Few will take note of the gesture in a positive way. Dumb idea but now that it has been brought up that genie can’t be stuffed back in the bottle. Trump can be too impulsive.

--- The quote was -- "Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do."

Different from "Paying Harris Campaign Debts."

How about those "vendors" and "consultants" and media firms for the Democrats forgive their own fees? How about so many pollsters and roadies for concerts meant to draw in people "forgive" for the sake of unity? So many subtleties between zero and a hundred.

He figures that their humiliation would be worth the $20 million.

I think its a great idea and here’s why.

The debt is owed to normal people (Except Oprah,,, he should insist that that one he will not pay).

They already think Kamala is a douche bag. If Trump pays them, they will have a different outlook.

The memes that could be had, the jokes that can be made...

The whole campaign would be summed up in the sad trombone.

Flawless victory.

$20 million might be worth paying if it’ll get to stop the “fight”.

Who knows. She might even sign up for RRIA.

Perhaps this is for public consumption. I think Trump knows they will still hate him and will never help him (or us).

Nobody cares about campaign staff, but paying vendors directly could be a stroke of genius that will secure loyalty from small business owners who may be totally nonpartisan in their dealings.

Thats as bad as paying off student loans.

They went into debt by their own choosing.
Why are you asking others to bail them out for their bad decisions?

Did you see when Cardi’s teleprompter died?

She had nothing to say. Had no idea why she was even there.

To a celebrity like that, it’s stupid to get on a sinking ship.

She probably didn’t need the money (prob lost more in revenue just by hitching up to that outfit).

So why then was she compelled to do that? It’s a mystery.

It is actually not Oprah and the other — as it turns out worthless — celebrity endorsement fees which are unpaid, but more likely the staff workers and 3rd party vendors who are going to suffer the loss. These are probably ordinary citizens, including catering companies and the like. I’d like to see a bankruptcy filed — involuntary, if need be — so that a trustee can claw back these payments for distribution to all of the creditors.
