Conservatives, This Is Not The Time To Go Wobbly
American Thinker ^ | 11 Sep, 2024 | Anony Mee

Posted on 11/11/2024 5:19:12 AM PST by MtnClimber

It looks as if We the People have won the trifecta – White House, Senate, House. Every state but my stupid state of Washington shifted to the right. Anarchists mostly stayed home, and cities are not peacefully burning. The market is liking Trump’s election. Tensions are softening internationally.

This is a sweet victory not just for President Trump and his MAGA movement but for truth, beauty, and the American way. Americans chose

- Their God-given individualism over group identity politics

- The reality of two sexes, regardless of various sexual expressions

- Prosperity through capitalism instead of totalitarian dogma

- Law, order, secure borders, and drug-free streets over some squishy compassion for “others”

- Our children’s well-being contra those who would twist their minds and destroy their bodies

- Our nation’s welfare before the lies told by profiteering climate alarmists

- Acting honorably even as our compatriots persistently call us bitter clingers, deplorable, fascists, Nazis, Hitler, white supremacists, garbage, and all kinds of bigots

Conservatives, you armored yourselves against these evils and battled to make life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness available to all Americans. Now stand fast against those evils, amid the continuing battle, and in victory.

We’ve won. Now, it’s time for a nap, a deep breath, and expanding our big tent to include all Americans... Whoa. No. Conservatives must hold steady and not yield to the siren calls for unity and bipartisanship.

What, then, shall we do with the left? Ignore them, for the most part, and enjoy making fun of them for their silly excesses. We do not need to silence others or control a single national narrative as they do. Let them cry, snivel, and scream into the void, wondering at the brass doors of heaven. We have work to do.

Yes, let the leftists talk all they want. And then make fun of them. And prosecute those who committed crimes.

the biggest problem with wimpy republicans is they ALWAYS try to get the wrong people to “like them”. the biggest challenge for wimpy republicans is accepting the fact that the wrong people they want to “like them” NEVER WILL! don’t be a wimpy republican.

“Every state but my stupid state of Washington shifted to the right.”

Washington state:

1. Motor Voter Laws

2. 100 percent mail-in voting

3. No proof of identification required

It is quite possible that Trump’s victory emboldened conservatives who had previously been too scared to fight the Wokesters. I am hopeful that, when conservatives see what Trump did and how the voters responded, they might jump on the bandwagon ready to fight back against the insane Left.

RFJ, whom Trump has supposedly as a close advisor and someone getting a position in the admin, is pushing as his #1 priority to legalize all drugs including LSD.

No. The biggest problem with Republicans is that too many of them are OWNED by Democrats and China.

Almost all of the ‘Rats are owned.

DC runs on corruption and blackmail.

The Democrats will think that is exactly what we will do. We must keep the pressure on them if we are going to save our country. The 2026 mid terms will need just as many votes or we will squander another Donald Trump Presidency! I hope to God we understand that.

I can think of three big changes that need to be made NOBODY is talking about:
  1. Amend the NRLA to remove the exemption unions enjoy from antitrust laws

I know this would be pitched as "a stab in the back of the working man," but it's really not. It will force unions to make the most of every one of their members to compete in the business of supplying skilled labor. Effectively, it would allow companies to outsource most of their HR bureaucracies with market based checks and balances on those professions. It would kill the real problem of Federal employee unions while respecting a necessary outcome of the right of free association.

  2. Amend the Civil Service Act so that it is easier to fire Federal employees.

About which nothing need be added. They don't vote for us anyway and it would diminish their motive to serve themselves at the expense of the people.

  3. Congress needs a rule change I first called the "cedo" 38 years ago during a study of the Federal Convention under Dr. William Barclay Allen (with whom Florida FReepers may be familiar).

The cedo would invest in the Vice President and the Speaker the arbitrary power to divide bills on the floor into pieces, forcing separate votes on particularly contentious elements. It would do a LOT to restore the ability to assess representatives by their voting records and make a real office out of the Vice Presidency without gummming up the works with separate votes on legislations upon which there is substantial agreement.

You read it here first. :-)

I love much of what I’ve seen since the election, but unfortunately don’t have much hope that we’ll see the types and amounts of meaningful changes this country needs. I think President Trump has many great ideas and even a better plan to try to achieve some of them this second time around.

But I fear the worst for his aspirations and his personal safety. There is too much entrenched evil with serious amounts of power that will stop at nothing to destroy him.

As a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, I’m flying high with unexpected joy from winning in football and national political developments at the moment. But hitting the ground gets more painful when you fall a from greater height.

I pray that I turn out to be wrong.

I say ignore the left, and left the GOPe, and welcome into the tent the Amish, the young black men, the Christian Hispanics and the 40% of under 30 females who voted with us.
This was an amazing election and I welcome our new friends.

Trump will do what he can, but with shaky control of House and Senate, this becomes a reason to spend 2025 and 26 rooting out vote fraud, and motivating Republicans to vote in the midterms.

It’s banking and the regulations governing it. This is the real area of danger from the one worlders. Otherwise Klaus Schwab’s dreams will come true. I don’t know how Trump and Musk view this problem.
