Federal Government needs to take over Federal Elections. States can regulate and conduct their own.
I really don’t want to give federal authority over states when it comes to elections, but states like Arizona, Nevada, California, etc., must do something about their election process.
Days or weeks to simply count votes is indicative of incompetence at best. It really breaks the trust in the state’s government as it tends to make cheating easier.
I don’t know what to do. I don’t want the feds to get more control, but the states can’t do what they are doing.
No
Your move
No. A stupid electorate is the greatest threat to our national security.
If the feds were in charge, we would have lost again.
Open source software should be a requirement for any voting machines, tabulators, etc., for a federal election. Requiring that would not be interfering with states ability to choose the time, place, etc. of their elections.
Just no.
Re-Register Every legal voter (require proof of citizenship. Do it the year before every Federal electiom.
You get what we're getting with the Senate and current House races in CA.
Your move.
How do you do that when the states like CA WA PA MI WI and more can just say no?
It will take a Constitutional Amendment. It is a long term agenda item not something that can be a priority item
Ok... then each state can pass a referendum requiring such...I think most voters would approve.
You guys are not even serious about this. Next midterms are two years away.
Why would Democrat related states do that when they benefit from a fraudulent system?
It’s a conundrum. The only way to force some states, like California, to put in place fair federal election rules may be to have the federal government prescribe and enforce them. However, having the federal government have that power may lead to all states having corrupt rules where fraud is easy or favors one side, depending on who is in power at the national level. I don’t know what the solution is.
Because the Citizens want it...most states are run by one or two major cities...get a Citizen’s Referendum on the ballot...betcha it would pass...esp now.
U.S. Constitution ...
Article I (Legislative Branch), Section 4 (Congress), Clause 1 (Elections Clause)
Article II (Executive Branch), Section 1 (Presidential Elections)
Amendment XII (Presidential Elections)
Amendment XVII (Elections of Senators)
No “us guys” understand the US Constitution. The US Constitution gives the power to mange elections to the states.
So waste all your time and energy foolish feel good agenda item to “get even with them for stealing 2020” and the 1st Court challenge is going to result in you losing everything you spent all your poltical capital and time fighting for.
The saying “It’s the economy stupid” still applies. Repeal the disastrous Biden regulations designed to constrict US domestic energy production, undo all of the massive increases in US Govt spending that have happened in the last 4 years and end the various proxy wars around the world (thus ending the need to hand out $10s of billions of US “aid payments”) need to be priorities
When you patient, the US Economy is suffering from a sucking chest wound, your priority has to be fix that first. If the GOP does not some rapid relief the same working class voters who supporters Trump in 2024 are going to turn on the GOP in 2026
“Federal Government needs to take over Federal Elections.”
That’s a TERRIBLE idea. That’s what they have in Venezuela, and how did that work out?
