Democrats will keep their majority control of the Pennsylvania state House of Representatives next year after holding onto a Johnstown area seat
Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee President Heather Williams said retaining the House majority was “one of the most challenging yet important priorities of the cycle,” and that her party will be “a critical check on Republican extremism.”
Burns, a conservative Democrat who supports gun rights and opposes abortion, has regularly found himself voting against his fellow House Democrats. He has long been an electoral target of Republicans, while many other similarly situated western Pennsylvania districts long ago flipped to the GOP.

PA senate held 28-24 Republicans-—virtually unchanged.
Burns (D) is a rare breed-—He is pro life and pro gun-—more so than some PA Republicans. It would be nice if he switched to (R) so we can control and keep these demons in the house “checked”.
Well it is PA I grew up in Cambria county, literally the people there have conservative values but the whole union thing and growing up democrat keeps many voting for dems because they believe the lies and just grew up dems.
That is how we got stuck with Jack Murtha forever

Heck, in Pennsylvania, the Democrat may have been MORE conservative than the Republican ...
It should be interesting to see what the political climate is going to be like in four more years after Trump gets this country back on track.
If/when prices come down, inflation slows, employment is up, housing is more available, streets are safer because illegals are deported, people theoretically should be swayed even further to the right.
But then again, nobody could ever accuse the electorate of being rocket scientist.
My mother's people were in Cambria County and I still have family there. It's past time to mature and realize just because you "grew up Dem", that it means anything in modern times.
