President-elect Donald Trump is showing no signs of backing down on his campaign pledge to order the 'largest deportation effort in American history.'
In a new interview, he is vowing to make the border 'strong and powerful,' and says financial costs – which some immigrant rights groups project could cost hundreds of billions of dollars – will not be an obstacle.
'It's not a question of a price tag. It's not — really, we have no choice,' Trump told NBC News Thursday when asked about his plan. When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they're going to go back to those countries because they're not staying here. There is no price tag.'
Trump claimed to have won a 'mandate' with his blowout win in the electoral college and defeat of Kamala Harris in the popular vote, and is taking steps to implement it, announcing campaign chief Susie Wiles will be his White House chief of staff. Among his first priorities will be rescinding President Biden's executive orders that expanded opportunities for migrants to live and work here.
It came after he campaigned heavily on the immigration issue, even featuring grim testimony at his rallies from parents who had children killed by people who weren't in the country legally.

It’ll be far cheaper than supporting them the rest of their lives and ruining the lives of millions of Americans.
If all the freebies get cut off most will self-deport
Open a “GoFundMe” type page, I would gladly donate to get these illegal aliens out of my Country.
It’s a cost that will dwindle significantly as the illegals are deported and will be a massive savings once gone.
Bringing them here has been a Liberal industry. Getting them out can be a Conservative industry 😊
Add an S to Illegal and drop the word Migrants all together
The deal should be that if you self deport within a set time
you can correctly apply for entry. If you are deported,
you will have to wait a set time, say five years before you can apply. If you are deported more than once the wait time will be ten years. Also speaking English will give bonus points toward acceptance.
EXACTLY!
Amen!
If there is a deficit, take it out of our budget for foreign aid, the UN and other wasteful spending.
Yeah.......no.
If you came here illegally, you are deported and you don’t get to come back ever. There are plenty of potential legal immigrants from all over the world who we can take in rather than someone who has already broken one of our laws.
NYC is handing out EBT cards with $18,500 funding to each illegal in the city.
I had some very nice international vacations that cost a lot less than $18K and that included round trip airfare, sometimes first class
Confident $18K will fund a pretty extravagant deportation
I hope so.
Great idea, especially since they are the ones behind the infestation.
Crack down on employers who use illegals, cut off all freebies to the invaders, tighten the screws on sanctuary cities, sanction countries where the illegals came from, halt all remittances that they send back to their home countries. Start shipping them back on planes exactly how they were snuck in, in the dead of night, and send the bill to their home countries. No mercy, no quarter, our country’s future depends on this getting accomplished.
8 USC 1324
is the ONLY law necessary, and you watch how fast “sanctuary” is removed from the english language
Is it true that the cost of supporting the migrants has impacted the cost of hurricane aid?
Tariff the crap out of remissions overseas from illegals in this country. Not kidding.
If he cuts off federal money to migrant supporting companies cities and states, the migrants will leave. If you are undocumented, stay away from the schools, hospitals and welfare banks. California gets 14% if their budget from the federal government. Trump says he will ban federal dollars going to sanctuary cities and states. Eric Adams got the memo, Newsome seems to have missed it. Shut down the financial support and the nonsense will wither and die.
