My uber-lib sister te,Ted me today asking.me to honestly tell.her if I voted for Trump. I replied to her what my late mother-in-law used to tell pollsters and others who asked who she was going to vote for, "I voted by secret ballot".
She sent me a screed describing in detail what was going to happen to the world and to women, now that Trump was going to be in office.
She never wants to speak to me again, as she now thinks I'm a misogynist, A Nazi, and a Christian Nationalist. I have been trying to keep peace between me and her, but this blew that to smithereens.
It does make me very sad.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sometimes I expect this to happen to me, but so far, it hasn’t.
When people decide to cancel us, it shows how immature they are. I know, that’s little comfort.
I’ll keep you in my prayers. Maybe she will let up in a while when she realizes Trump isn’t the a-hole she thinks he is.

I find it very hard to believe that if this is her reaction at this late date, that you could have been very conversational with her over the last 3-4 years. If she is so nutbar over this, why was this not apparent many, many months if not years ago?
This is the reaction of a petulant child throwing a tantrum. I probably do not have to tell you that.
Just pray for her and ask God to open her eyes. She’ll be back.
I don’t know. Family is family. At least send a Christmas (and birthday card) if that’s what you’ve always done. Just because she’s canceled you doesn’t mean you have to cancel her. She may thank you one day in the future.
What in the world do liberals think is going to happen to women? They're so terrified. Do they think Trump is going to throw them all into camps or something? What about all the women raped and/or killed by the illegals Biden/Harris have been letting in? What could be worse for women than that? Or like someone else pointed out, the men in women's sports.
All I can figure is, someone somewhere is scaring women to death with a bunch of lies. I saw a post yesterday saying, "I think I'll go out to eat before all the restaurants become whites-only." Do liberals really believe this stuff? Who's telling them all this crap? Trump didn't do any of this stuff during his first term, yet somehow they think he's going to do it now.
I have heard this from others today. It’s sad but if these people can not see they are being lied to and manipulated, there’s not much to be done. They have weak minds and are, well, unstable. Maybe with time she will see the kight.

You should pray too. God can and does make all things work together for good, for those that love God. Which is why prayer for her is so important.
As bad as it is now, maybe someday this will represent a rock bottom moment of some kind for her and it will serve as one of many events that convince her to change her heart. Maybe even find Christ.
“This” did not blow it up, it was just an excuse. The Christian Nationalist line was the crux of it and it wasn’t even aimed at you specifically. It clearly shows her spiritual state and that the main issue here is openly rebelling against God, and the issues of conscience (good and evil) that God has plainly put on her heart before, but she is rejecting very violently at the moment.
Misogynist (hater of women) was the most cruel personal attack on you. A backhanded accusation that you have always hated her. You and she both know if you have ever treated her in such a way in your entire lives. She knows, no matter what she may say today.

People have taken leave of their senses. I barely speak to my brothers since the 2020 election, because they hate Trump so much. And get this, they still think they’re Republicans.
Let her apologize to you, since she’s being unreasonable.

I lost mine during the 2020 election. I rekindled our love a year and a 1/2 ago. I’ve lost her again. I move on as I have other family and a damn good life.
I am this close to believing it’s some sort of subliminal messaging. People are irrationally terrified.
