Posts are getting pulled left and right here. What is up? The FR doesn't need the participation and traffic anymore?
Censoring? Heavy handedness is not going to go over well at a critical time when you need traffic and donations.
What the post you responded to is saying that there have been posts deleted with no explanation, that simply disappear. Something I have seen as well.
Well this was neither trivial or meaningless. It was an extremely important point that needs to go viral. Other users saw the extreme value in it and then it was gone into thin air comments and all without explanation or message page.
That is shadow censoring. If shadow censoring is the new norm it is not going to go over very well.

I agree. I have posted before about BS threads, but usually get blasted “because we are a news aggregate” and that many here enjoy these BS threads.

That is shadow censoring. That is what Twitter used to do and so many complained about there. It is a poor practice and causes animosity. Last thing this place needs right now unless they are winding down to throw in the towel.
My first interest in this topic is the welfare of the domain. As a fellow domain owner I hate to see policy or practices become counterproductive for the domain it’s self. It’s just bad business.

No they are not. Some mods inject very personal bias. That is not moderation. That is an authoritarian control issue.
Is this about threads being deleted or individual posts?
Whole threads without a trace, comments and all even in timelines. Shadow censoring.
So, what are you posting that’s getting pulled?

Since the mods are not transparent do you see any reason?

Good point. Unfortunately, when I hit “Post” and find it has been removed, it’s too late to see what might have caused the zot.

Yes. It’s really frustrating to go through the effort and find out it’s been zotted. I’ve had two or three that disappeared like that. Then, I’ll find some other person posts the same thing AFTER I attempted to post it and it passes muster. Weird.
