A bit of Sobriety

Posted on 11/07/2024 6:30:10 AM PST by 2nd Amendment

Don't get me wrong. I am extremely happy about Trump's near universal win but I must interject some thoughts about the future. First of all the margins were good but not overwhelming. Approximately 47% of Americans still Identify with antiamerican democratic values. We can rejoice in the interruption of Americans descent into the abyss. The fight must go on. Trump and the republicans are fallible and will have disputes and occasional missteps. Being an ex government teacher I do believe in the necessity of a loyal opposition. Democrat values are presently an anathema to common sense and decency. In order to survive they need to reinvent their part to return to their traditional norms of support for the working man. The fight goes on but we have just won a major battle. Pray for America and the MAGA agenda!

Senate seats in Michigan and Wisconsin were there for the taking. They’re gone for 6 years. Bummer. Think Nevada and Az.

Not allowing people to be harassed and jailed for questioning election results would be a good start.
	votes cast
2024	703,470
2020	749,317
2017	210,838

This is just in Philadelphia.
The number of registered voters remained about the same the past two decades.

The WEF/One world government cult just got a 4 year speedbump. Hopefully longer.

The Senate is definitely 52 with the good possibility of McCormick and Brown. I’m leaning towards 53. The house comes down to California races. For some reason it takes Cali another week to count ballots. I’m an optimist and think we retain control of the House by about present margins.

“Being an ex government teacher I do believe in the necessity of a loyal opposition.”

So do I, but that has NOTHING at all to do with the “Packing the Courts” Democrats.

Oh, I agree with you. There is virtually no modern democratic position that I agree with! They have become a wicked, evil party that hates anything righteous. But since Washington and Adams we have needed a loyal moral opposition party to check the normal hubris of mankind.

Thinking that we’ve prevailed for good is what always gets us in trouble. Resting on our laurels. The left never rests, even in victory.

Democrats will, some day, retake power, and when they do, they’ll be far, far worse than they are even now.

Without the House its likely to be 2-4 years of ‘impeachment actions’, horrible budget shenanigans, & attempt disturb the economy. All to be blamed on Trump\GOP which will likely work to a great degree because, so few people now understand how the government actually works. Too many on both sides think we elect ‘kings’!

My concern is the Republicans have a long history of squandering the power given to them in a major political victory like this one.

Thanks for the Debbie Downer post. I was hoping the Debbie Downers would be vanquished like the Democrats were. But no such luck I guess.

“The WEF/One world government cult just got a 4 year speedbump. Hopefully longer.”

And THAT is it. To change anything at all we must first identify who the true enemy is. The democrats are just ignorant and delusional useful tools for the true actors in this agenda. But don’t think that there are not a whole bunch of the same on our side of the aisle. Because the global one world government agenda has just as many useful tools on our side too. It is a very bipartisan effort.

Pray and action.

Each and everyone one of us should be thinking about something we can do. If Trump does it right and all indications are he will, he will reduce the size and power of the heavy centralized govt back to the original design.

We will have to be involved in state and local issues. Can’t just sit there.

‘They spied on my campaign’ isn’t loyal opposition.

It’s enemies foreign and domestic that deserve dirt naps, not a seat at any table in honest govt

RIGHT! They will learn from this. And adjust. They have two years to mid-terms, and four years to plan for the next presidential election. Trump won’t run again. We’ll just have to see what Vance is made of.

Agree - I’ve thought for decades that a loyal opposition which is more of the libertarian type, rather than the Fascist type, should be what this country needs.

Agreed, the US has been circling the drain for a long time. And the evil left will fight Trump now tooth and nail on EVERYTHING he tries to do to fix their ongoing destruction of this Country. Unless they are able to force through some pretty serios permanent changes in the first 2 years, you are correct, this will just be a pause in the liberal lefts destruction of America.
