Exactly. I wouldn’t be surprised if some blue states, which they all are, begin talks of getting rid of it. I don’t think they ever anticipated. Every Republican would win the popular vote.

The populations of five or six Democrat run cities hold the entire Republic hostage every four years.

It isn’t right.

Even though the compact has not been consummated I recommend states proposing it go ahead and voluntarily implement its provisions - just to show the benefits of the scheme and, of course, to demonstrate good faith.

How does it look now Democrats?

1. End the Filibuster

2. Pack the Supreme Court (with 10 conservative justices!)

3. End the Electoral College and use the popular vote to elect POTUS.

So many tears this morning. What a great day!!

Why isn’t this concept considered unconstitutional?

If a state government wants to surrender its citizens’ sovereignty, that’s between them.

Now it’s time to pass National Concealed Carry Reciprocity.

"Why isn’t this concept considered unconstitutional?"

It is unconstitutional, short of a Constitutional Amendment. Color me doubtful that 3/4 of the States would voluntarily subjugate their sovereignty in this fashion to the intemperate communists.

I think the guaranty clause gives the federal government authority to prevent states from enacting this stupidity.

It might well, I confess I don’t know deeply about the ins-and-outs of it, but knowing how the Leftists work, I can see them finding a loophole like this. And I’ll bet it IS “constitutional” even if it is stupid and counterproductive!

The fact is, electoral votes belong to the various state legislatures and can be allocated however the legislatures determine.

I agree that any allocation that relies on any votes that are cast outside a state’s borders amounts to a dilution of the votes of the citizens of that state...

But the f*ctards are stupid enough to elect these sorts of brain dead legislators...well, they kind of deserve what they get.

California s will be able to take great solace in the fact that their precious electoral votes aggregate to Trump.....

I wonder, in light of their adoption of that stupid Compact, now the California legislature can fail to deliver their electoral votes to Trump.through votes
