Has PETA weighed in on the seizure and euthanizing of both Peanut and Fred yet?
Bkmk
Elect the wrong candidate, and we all may become Peanut.
Your right it is far more about intimidation and showing government power.
Then any squirrel.
Five heavily arm officers to talk to some one about a squirrel.
Over reach for sure.
It’s about power. They need to keep demonstrating that they are in charge and always will be. They have watered down our democratic principles to the point of rendering themselves unaccountable. They will do whatever they wish.
LOL
I, for one, am glad that P’nut got in one good bite on the worm that terrified, squirrel-napped and then murdered him. Good for you, P’nut.
Biden’s dog bit how many people??....Like 17 IIRC

Perhaps an NGO will help squirrels, racoons, possums , and armadillo’s ignore New York animal laws and migrate them to Peanuts home. Maybe the local mayor will put them up in a hotel and give them cell phones and cash cards for food. Maybe the federal government can fly plane loads of them in the middle of the night to new habitat. Viva Peanuts.

Lots of states have been doing this for decades. The bottom line is “don’t keep wild animals”. Their euthanasia policies are pretty uniform. I remember one, in Arizona, where a boy had been raising a pet crow for years, when the state confiscated the bird, mumbling some inanity about testing it, then promptly killed it. Quite a fuss at the time.
There is no clarity on why the states do it, either. The assumption is usually to prevent disease, but that boat doesn’t float, either.
