The problem is that his mother has obviously been showing up to excuse the thug’s behavior for his entire life. The guy has never had to be responsible for his own actions.

The boy doesn’t look like a toddler to me. He looks like a punk ass thug, murderer.
The Mom should be just answering the questions of the Court and offering condolences to the loved ones of the victims and offering to answer any & all questions that the loved ones of the victims have. Yes, the Justice system needs to do their work. But the real need is for the loved ones of the victims to get closure and help with their grieving.
I would have left him in jail. I would not have bailed him out.

Ahh - this is still Juvie court so he didn’t have to appear. Once he gets charged as an adult he has to appear.

The perpetrator doesn’t care about his mama and mama doesn’t want to lose the flesh of her flesh. It’s a very sad but age-old tale of woe. The real sufferer is mama, she will NEVER recover from the hurt her son has brought about, she will become a shell of her former self.
One day he’ll wake up in prison, after his heartbroken mama has breathed her last breath and he will sink into pit of hellish sorrow. It will break him down, and in his sorrowful and despondent state of mind some inmate will autograph his liver with a shiv and he will die lonely and afraid.
It happens every day to the souls satan steals and devours.

It appears from this that he is currently in custody and must have refused transport to the court. Though I am not sure how he could have been given that option.

Very weird, but I’m starting to get used to this alternate reality we seem to be living in. “Failed to Appear”??? On what planet does this little psychopath have any say in whether he will or will not appear in court on any charge, let alone multiple homicide. On the planet I come from, this would be when the judge would say something like: “Bailiff, would you please retrieve the defendant? The Court will take a brief recess.” And then it would happen. I can’t comprehend this story.

Some guy refused to go to court.
The guards chuckled and said call “pack man”.
Pretty soon this guard came up the elevator that looked like Hulk Hogan.
It was fun to watch.
